omg. pope being wary abt smoking again bc of how it was kinda disastrous last time so jj very ~casually~ suggests shotgunning bc ‘you wont get as high inhaling my secondhand smoke’ and pope agrees. which...jj didnt actually expect. so jjs oddly tentative and careful as he places a hand on popes shoulder for balance and leans in. but it turns out to be a terrible idea bc as soon as pope feels jj lips very gently touch his own he forgets to inhale and then remembers and inhales too quickly and ends up coughing right into jjs face and jj just laughs and calls him a rookie but popes actually having a gay awakening
