I don't have time for this. I've got a deadline tomorrow morning and a stomach flu and a cough that hasn't let me sleep for two weeks but apparently my brain won't let me do my shit unless I get this off my chest so here we go I guess.

Was told by more than one person today that someone's expressed suspicion about a server/friend group that I love very much. Suspicions like, "can we be sure this isn't connected to [weirdly trans- and acephobic fandom drama]". I get that this isn't personal, especially not against me. People are on edge about this crap and maybe this person heard there's a Discord server they're not in and misinterpreted the FOMO as suspicion, I don't know.

Anyway if you or your friends wonder if TBF/The Beta Fishes/The Big Fucks is some sort of creepy clique that may be connected to [That Fandom Drama], maybe it'll help you to know that I'm in TBF and these are the sort of things I post on the internet and things that, in my experience, the rest of TBF support and encourage my posting and talking about:

Idk if the people who were suspicious even have Tumblr and if they do, they might not see this anyway, I'm not that popular. (I don't really know who they are because I'm not a member of the space where they talked about this. And if I did I'd have no desire to name and shame because they're probably just on edge and got the wrong idea and I don't want people to flame them or some crap. Although I'd definitely like to know how they got the wrong idea because it freaks me the hell out so if you're them and/or have a good guess hmu I suppose). Anyway. Just made me sad. And confused and a little annoyed.

Can we like... maybe not take the hurt and confusion from legitimate fandom drama and transfer it onto random friend groups we're not in because we aren't in them and/or don't know who's in them and/or don't like the name or whatever the reason may be? Can we maybe keep in mind that humans are going to form little groups and hang out in private spaces where they don't let everyone in all the time, whether offline or online, and that's just how human socialising works and not inherently suspicious because sometimes you literally just want to hang out with your friends. Can we please
