Nostalgia
I am alive?? Maybe 👀 I want to be somewhat active this year and post my RPG Maker shenanigans.
I was feeling nostalgic so I looked through my folder of old, incomplete game projects and found this beauty. This was one of the first ambitious projects I worked on. I didn’t know how to use the program very well at the time and I was also very ambitious... yep that was a bad combo. I wanted 50 different areas, a cool cast of characters, epic expositions, y’know everything a newbie shouldn’t be throwing into their first project. I finished one area and regretted everything immediately. Honestly, I think my writing peaked here.
The plot was basically the main character, Ein, gets isekai’d into a fantasy world from her futuristic world. She’s dubbed the “chosen one” and is expected to be the hero for this fantasy world. It was partially meant to be a parody to the “hero’s journey” story structure. There would be lots of dialogue choices to choose your adventure to become a hero but a force from beyond the screen could potentially prevent this...
