REVIEW: Incredible Doom (Volume 1) by Matthew Bogart & Jesse Holden. There is a lot to take in, in this book as it centers around 3 teenagers growing up in the age of the internet. Set in 1994, the internet is just starting to take off and these teenagers engage in a forum to escape their lives. There is a lot of dark undertones in this book that I did not expect at all. Allison is the first character to be introduced and her story is so tragic that it's pretty triggering. I would definitely suggest there be trigger warnings at the beginning as a lot of the events came as a shock. I particularly liked the art work as it uses blues as the main colour of shading and it really fits the vibe of the story. It is a type of style I enjoy seeing in graphic novels and so I was very pleased to see it in this book. The story is also left on a pretty intriguing note and so I will be picking up the next volume to see where the story goes next. I'm really rooting for these characters to get away from the hardships they are facing. A captivating book about friendship, technology and protecting yourself. 4 Stars! #bookstagram #booklover #bookreview #graphicnovel #incredibledoom @harperalley @matthewbogart @churl https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjg_WU5rltq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
