Silhouette Challenge - #7
Our seventh character is:
All hail Princess Attea, light of the Incursean empire, destroyer of galaxies, keeper of the conquest ray, all beings tremble--(knocked out by the smell of burning rubber)
Bit of a mix on interpretations. Character-wise and costume-wise, it's OV, but in terms of actual age and dynamics with the rest of the cast, it's UAF.
But one of the main things I aimed for was designing her to better reflect Incursean physiology. All the males of the species look like frogs with sunken eyes, but Attea (the only female Incursean that I think we've seen) has none of those features. You could misinform someone completely uninitiated in Ben 10 lore that Attea was a mutant like Toad, and they'd probably believe you.
So this was my attempt to give her some more alien features. Plus a Skrull chin, cuz I thought that was fun.
Alien Archives: I-Q
I-Q is the DNA sample of an Incursean in the Amalgatrix. She shows an Optimun example of its species, the others being Bullfrag and Attea. She has powers similar to Incurseans, a long tongue, enchanced jumping etc and sjmilar weaknesses.
In disguise by Fioré, she is an Incursean Popstar and a close friend to the Empress Attea. Through this connection, the Plumbers have good amounts of intel that would help defeat an incoming Incursean attack.
I-Q is very charismatic, as she deals with constant fanservice everyday. She is always appealing to her species eyes, which is an advantage considering she wouldnt risk anything that may affect Fioré's mission.
A drawback is that the DNA's conscience would counter Fioré's, disenabling her train of thought and delaying the whole missio
Status: Active, Unrevealed
Years of Operation: 20 years.
So, Ascalon destroying the incursean homeworld is a hundred percent one of if not the reason why those tech level laws exist right.

Leap frog anyone?
Omniverse’s Declining Quality Control
Ben a while since I’ve touched on Ben 10 discourse, so here goes...
So a buddy and I have been making our way through Ben 10 Omniverse and I’ve got to say that after the Incursean Arc, the show really starts to struggle with major consistency problems.
Galactic Monsters was literally incomprehensible. The entire arc was a mess, people are barely in character, stuff that shouldn’t be possible happens off screen like its no big deal and we have to accept it for the arc to continue, the story it tells is disjointed, and what it boils down to is that Zs'Skayr hasn’t been a threat since Ben’s been a teenager.
We’ll talk about Rooters next, which admittedly isn’t as bad, but really isn’t good either. Ignoring the fact that the entire arc is basically just Ultimate Alien Force retcons (that honestly feels more mean-spirited, than the writers telling a story that they wanted to tell) makes it a lot more watchable, but the arc can’t even keep itself consistent with stuff that happens earlier in Omniverse. As a fan of the franchise, it’s really frustrating to watch.
Another thing of note is that the arcs seem to be getting shorter, Khyber the Hunter’s arc lasted quite a while and by and large, it was pretty good, the Incursean Arc was only like 5 episodes, Galactic Monsters was like... 3 or 4 and Rooters was only 3. I dunno feels like the show starts running out of steam come the later half of it.
(The fusion OC I got commissioned from O.R.Ash got finished recently! She turned out great!!!)
