49.  Which character would you most want to be friends with, if they were real?

I’d love to be friends with Simone! Not only is she an incredibly warm friend, she’s smart as a whip who is able to cut through bullshit like no one else. She also needs support sometimes too, and I think that we would be able to lean on each other. 

29.  Favourite villain

A lot of my antagonists tend to be societal, or left pretty vague because of a mystery, so I don’t actually do a lot with villains 🤔

So I guess I’ll go with not my original content. One of my favorite villains is Shego from Kim Possible! Love her.

Happy Meet and Greet Monday! Your characters are going to a gala! The invitation simply said, "Look your best upon arrival." What does that mean to each character? Suit and tie or nice dress? Haute couture? All the sparkles? Who wears what? Why do they choose it?

Tybee:

Gil: No! Tybee no! Tybee--

Tybee is wearing something almost entirely conceptual, only loosely definable as clothing. He looks absolutely on point, because he always does, but it’s almost like its 90% attitude. Like he could show up in a sheet toga and still look completely cutting edge.

Gil is in a fabulously tailored suit, a very “a classic never dies”. There are subtle nods of color, probably a teal, but comparatively, Gil is understated class

Lia, depending on whether she let Tybee dress her or fled to Kyle, will either be as fabulously avant garde as Tybee, or a more subdued but still super fashionable gown, one that Kyle longs to wear himself but doesn’t have the figure for

Kyle will 100% let Tybee dress him because come on! Faery clothes! He is wearing a literal cloud how cool is that????

For your two facts about a character game: 1: although Heath thought he hated animals, when he finds a foster family they have a very smart and friendly parrot and they end up adoring each other! and 2: Heath's official diagnoses at the end are borderline personality disorder, c-ptsd, and conduct disorder, but he still doesn't really understand what most of that means.

• across three wips, the only pet I have given anyone is Finnigan’s dog, Scout. Nora would really like a pet but she’s in a small apartment rn and it wouldn’t work.

• because one of my wips is a high fantasy land, and another involves the cast being isolated in an evil laboratory, the only actual diagnosis anybody has is Nora’s generalized anxiety disorder.

I hope Heath gets the opportunities he needs to learn and grow!

denim jackets, fishnet stockings, and red, purple, or black lipstick at ALL times. for a fancy night she might swap out the denim for leather.

14. What’s the most research you ever put into a book?This is actually something I need to do more of as I move the drafts forward. Like I realized while working on a short story that I really don't know anything about cartography and my main character is a cartographer-- and it's relevant to the series. Whoops. I guess the most research is learning a few different flow props because those help me come up with ideas for my carnival performers.

19. First line of a WIP you’re working on.Firedrake leaned forward to rest their elbows on the table and rubbed at their eyes. "I am never going to learn this. Tell me again why we didn't have you be the career spouse?"(It's from a short story I’m working on. I'll be sharing it sometime in the next few days.)

48. Favorite genre to write in.I answered this one a few days ago, so I'll copy it over. :) I’ve only ever written fantasy. I’ve tried writing more serious stuff and hated it, so my favorite there is definitely comedic/lighthearted.

50. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had.I mentioned in another ask that this series is basically it because I throw a lot of weird ideas into it for the comedic factor. The weirder the better! I do have ideas for a few AUs for different ways the characters could have met and those are all odd. The weirdest of those would definitely be that if things had been just slightly different, Blythe and Dray's families would have been trying to marry them off to each other and this would have been hilarious and a disaster and I'd love to write this someday.

I think I need to just spend some time after NaNo writing strange "what if _ changed" stories. That would be so fun!

I'm not entering in your contest, but I wanted to exclaim I can't believe you've only been here one year??? I've been here three and when I found your writeblr, you seemed so smart and put together I just assumed you'd always been here and I'd just missed you somehow! Your presence here is such a calming and helpful influence, and I'm so happy I follow you!!!

It’s actually about a year and 4 months at this point — I’m wrapping up a celebration that should’ve been finished months ago 😅
