It’s so funny watching so many democrats be turned away from the party because of how people are reacting to Charlie Kirk’s death. A man whose only crime was TALKING. A man who only had different opinions. He was killed because he disagreed with people. And yet the left has the gall to say the right are the Nazis, the fascists. You know what real fascists do? They kill people who disagree with them. Kirk never physically hurt anyone, he always welcomed ANYONE to come and speak to him, he never resorted to screaming in people’s faces. He did something that is rare these days. He had civil debate. And he was killed for it. You guys said the right is the party that wants you dead, but who’s the one killing people for public speaking? Don't get me wrong, both parties suck. But I’ve been seeing a lot of democrats be pushed farther right, not only because of the shooting. But because of everyone else’s reaction to it. You guys are SCREWING yourselves over and it’s hilarious to watch if I’m being completely honest.

Why Trump Has Lost Support Among Independents

Ten months into Donald Trumps second term in office, his approval ratings are significantly lower than when his term began. Such declines are not uncommon - even though presidential "honeymoon" periods arent what they once were. Democrats have never cottoned to Trump and Republicans remain intensely loyal. That leaves independents - like me - and a spate of public opinion surveys reveal that the presidents declining popularity is almost entirely due to losing favor with independent voters.

According to the most recent Gallup poll, 91% of Republicans and 6% of Democrats currently approve of the job President Trump is doing. These are basically unchanged from when his term began. Independents are a different story, however.

In the early days of his second term, Trump was underwater among independents from five to 19 points, depending on the poll. Those numbers have deteriorated even further. Gallup and Quinnipiac have Trumps disapproval/approval rate at nearly 2-1, while CBS News has Trumps approval/disapproval numbers among independents at 32-68. Others also report stark slippage. Economist-YouGov (28-64), Quantus Insights (38-59), Harvard-Harris (37-53), and TIPP (32-55) all show a similar pattern.
