You're not going to find me being happy of Marina's death. Not after episode 3 when you see her home life. Everything Marina did to Shizuka, she learns from her parents. She learns to use the words parasite and slut from her dad calling her mom that. She learns to hit and slap from her mom abusing her. If you still think this 9 year old deserved to die, knowing she's parroting what her parents have done to her, rather than wishing she had been helped alongside Shizuka, then I'm sorry but that's kinda wild.
If there's anything the online reaction to Takopi's Original Sin has proven, it's that people cannot handle abuse victims behaving realistically instead of like Perfect Victims.
If you think a 9 year old victim of severe abuse deserved to die, that says more about you, to be honest.
Anyways. Marina is a bad person and deserved consequences for her actions, but she didn't deserve to die. She deserved to be helped just as much as Shizuka deserves help.
Can you guys be normal about abuse and trauma victims please.
