Ok i need to actually talk about this because i am LOSING it.
It has been more than 18 days. EIGHTEEN. a man is STARVING HIMSELF at jantar mantar because the government won't even bother firing an education minister who let millions of students get failed by a leaked exam paper. and the response from the people in power?? Nothing. Silence. Business as usual.
Do these ministers even see this?? do they get it?? there's literally a court case right now because doctors are worried he might not survive this and they had to ask a judge to force the government to step in. people are giving him medical checkups every single day just so he doesn't die on live camera and this is somehow not urgent enough for anyone to just to do something.
Is THIS the india we were supposed to have?? is this what independence was for, so a man has to put his own life on the line just to get someone to LISTEN?? he's doing this for us. for students. for anyone who's ever gotten screwed over by a system that doesn't care. And they're letting him waste away like it's nothing.
He should NOT have to die for this. this is not okay. this is not normal. this should not be normal.
I'm m a med student and every part of me wants to go sit there with him rn but i can't leave without my parents' say so. if you CAN go, please go. stand there. be loud. don't let this get swept under the rug like everything else does.
