Screen-cap of this:
I honestly drew this for lighting practice but ended up spending way too much time on it- [Nearly 4 hrs🙃]
These celebrities and influencers are terribly silent and utterly spineless for people who have built their careers on patriotic films.
I get it now. The youngsters for whom u refuse to take a stand are just here to fill your theatres and your own pockets.
Guys I dont care what your political standing is. I dont care whether you support bjp or congress but you cant deny that the government is utterly shameless for letting a man like Sonam Wangchuk starve himself just to have a dialogue with those in power. This man is literally fighting for something that is going to affect lakhs and lakhs of students across the country. And he doesnt even need to do it. But he is still out on the streets fighting for justice and our rights
You could hate CJP with everything that you have but dont let that hate blind you from the fact that a scientist, an innovator, the recipient of Ramon Magsaysay award is doing everything he can to reform the education system, to make the lives of students better.
Coming back to those 'heroes' who have done everything to sell patriotism on screen....where does it disappear when it comes to taking a public stand for your own country? You guys did not feel the problem when making a film based on Sonam Wangchuk's life. Then why are they silent now??? I could name so many celebrities rn - Akshay kumar( bhaisahab herogiri jaise fufu karne mai nahi hai vaise chup rehne mai bhi nahi hai), Aamir khan( ab samaja chatur chatur kyu tha - to all those ppl who are saying omi vaidya is an american citizen so he does not have anything to lose - bhai chup baitho..atleast he had the guts to speak up ) alia bhatt, varun dhawan, sachin tendulkar, katrina kaif, vicky kaushal, shah rukh khan and i could name so much more ????
If i have learned anything from all this, its that i am never trusting any celebrity...ek hi wish hai... ek din inke koi public event and film promotion mai jake inko sawaal puchke aukat dikha ke ana hai bhai vapas.

People say "I would kill for you", as if violence shows devotion. But would you forgive for them? Lay down your pride, silence your anger and choose peace even though your ego begs for war?
One thing I have noticed is the erasure of indian culture in bridgerton particularly during anthony season .
During an interview i think it was this or that food edition during Simone's they labelled "this or that south asian food edition " ( this is not the tittle but basically sums up the video) and during yerin's interview it was " this or that korean food edition " .
These people have no problem distincting east asian culture they would never sum up these culture as "one" and not use that bullshit of a excuse " that we/they used to be one " but when it comes to Indian culture Suddenly the "culture needs to be shared ".
South asian would be broad term , most of the things they claim as South asian is from the indian subcontinent particularly originating from India.
Even with Kate's saree inspired gown it was labelled as "South asian " I can't with these people erasing desi indian culture .
For the record, I’ll explain in the most simple way possible bcuz ppl have to be spoon fed logic these days.
Students are right
Govt is wrong
CJP and wangchuk are milking this event for their gains.
Govt was wrong and fucked up in delivering justice and still is. BUT, this issue is no where in any essence a religious issue. It was a competency and ego issue in which students of all students and all categories were affected
Who brought the religion? Protesters.
Is there only a single group of protesters nationwide? No
Did any other group do it? No, they just wanted justice.
So who brought unnecessary remarks on religion? CJP.
Did CJP also bring people whose whole brand is based in creating religious differences, disrespecting majority’s religion? Supporting terrorists? Yes CJP did.
As a member of majority do I and others have the right to be offended? Yes and we are, I speak for many of us when I say this whole debate is turning away from its cause. Even if I agreed with the subject of the protest I will in no way be seen aligning with this particular sect.
What were the rest of u moderates supposed to do? Maybe accept that any religious comment was unnecessary in a debate that had nothing to do with it. Accept that it was a mistake in CJPs part to let that happen. And aligning with such problematic people might push away genuine supporters of the cause and bring a very specific niche of people. Whose interests have nothing to do with students rights but something far darker.they should have accepted the shortcoming and continued with the protest for the real cause
So all THIS feels like talking to wall, not the other way round.
im so serious can we stop pretending to be supportive of indians by headcanoning the potter family as indian and instead actually support those of indian authors and creatives?
