Faculty members are instructed to remove a student from a classroom if a student refuses to wear a mask.
Indiana Tech officials announced Friday that those on campus will be required to wear face masks.In an email to students, Vice President for Student Affairs Daniel Stoker said the Indiana Tech mask policy requires that every person wears a mask indoors, in all Indiana Tech buildings. "We want to do this in the positive spirit of protecting each other – my mask protects you, your mask protects me," Stoker said. "This policy is just one part of our work to ensure that we return to our classrooms and campus locations in a manner that keeps all of us safe and healthy."

When the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference named its Men’s Basketball All-Conference teams on Thursday there were some familiar names from the Grand Rapids area among the bunch.

I just got accepted into Indiana Tech. The excitement is real.
Freed-Hardeman at Park University
Tonight, I went to Park University to watch the Park vs. Freed-Hardeman game. Freed-Hardeman had just moved to #5 in the NAIA Division I poll. Park is a solid team that plays really (really) hard. They've lost two of their best players to injury, and have still managed to have a competitive season.
A few notes/thoughts from tonight's game (in no particular order):
* I just loved watching Freed's junior point guard, Evan Forhetz. He clearly controlled the game and is terrific. I believe that he currently leads the NAIA in assists. Just plays the game the right way and has a very good understanding of the game. Basketball purists will love watching him. Probably the 2014-15 NAIA version of Bobby Hurley. Reminds me a little bit of former Findlay All American point guard Dustin Pfeifer (although that may be a little lofty, as Dustin Pfeifer was really, really good).
* Mylin Jordan from Park University is just loaded with talent. He finished with 25 points tonight, and he's really fun to watch him. While he turned it over quite a bit (7 turnovers), he was exciting. Looked like the most talented/gifted player on the court.
* I enjoyed the opportunity to jump onto the broadcast during the second half with Nick McCabe. Nick is a pro. He does a lot of Division I games, but he's a Park alum and he does all of their home games. He's really good.
* I drove Freed-Hardeman Coach Jason Shelton back to his hotel after the game, so we had a chance to catch up. While I won't share much from our personal conversation, I will say that it was wonderful to listen to his stories about Coach Don Meyer (Jason coached with Coach Meyer at David Lipscomb for many years). Jason Shelton helps remind me why I love Small College Basketball so much --- It's about the people, and he's first-class!
* I enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with Dan Kline for a few minutes. He's Jason Kline's Dad (Jason is the Head Coach at Park University), and the court is named after him at Indiana Tech. Dan is retired and really enjoys watching his son coach, while he enjoys spending time with his grandsons while in Kansas City.
Once again, I just felt great to be in the gym!
