'Surprising many, Chapter 7 of the 2008 Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, reads: “Nature or Pachamama, where life becomes real and reproduces itself, has the right to be integrally respected in its existence, and to the maintenance and regeneration of its life cycles, structures, functions, and evolutionary processes” (my emphasis).

But what is Pachamama and what happened that allowed such an entity a presencein the constitution?

Wrapping up his accusation, he added that the coalition was the worst danger for the Ecuadoran political process (Ospina 2008). The reaction is not unusual among politicians like Correa: modern, urban, and self-identified as nonindigenous, they dismiss the excess as residual (or infantile in this case) and hope that it will gradually disappear. But, as Cholango insists, what he calls their “beliefs and symbols” have not disappeared in 500 years.'

i am reading the acotar series for the first time ever finally, and it's making me really want to use my fae princes. i play 3 brothers of the winter/unseelie court, ruled by their mad queen mother. some plots for the eldest are listed here, but below the cut are some ideas for my other fae, too. please message me, or like this post to plot & write!

BALIAL

solider to soldier; as the military commander, and generally not a male to mess with, he takes his role in court seriously. he manages the training, and would need a trusted inner circle to help him oversee with an iron hand. however, when you spend so much time together, the lines of boundaries are bound to blur... especially during late nights training or pouring over a strategic map. but balial is already betrothed, and could never marry a common fae solider beneath him, regardless how much he may ever want to.

war captives; either balial or your muse is captured in a confrontation during a harsh, brutal war between courts. variety of ways this could go, depending on which is the captee. if balial were the kidnapper, he would be cold and calculating and cruel at first, focused purely on victory. but he is not unable to be persuaded.

criminal courts; he is being held prisoner for crimes he comitted outside of his home. hellbent on escape, he tries to seduce your muse, but confuses his own heart in the process - perhaps he fails, and reminds locked away with his feelings out in the open. perhaps he succeeds, and they are fugitives together escaping to his winter court.

reluctant king; he never wanted to be king, but eventually he is crowned as such. an advisor, counselor, spouse (etc) would hold a lot of power, as balial would be nearly fully reliant on them to help him learn how to be a leader of a kingdom rather than only it's brute force. bonus points for forbidden love plots, perhaps balial is already wed in a loveless arranged marriage as he grows close with his advisor? just an idea!

he can be flexible to fill pretty much any world, plot, dynamic, etc!

CASPIAN

forbidden rendezvous; the pair have struck up an affair, but it was doomed from the start. your muse is already betrothed to his brother, balial, in an alliance that cannot be broken. should they be caught, the consequences could be deadly. {this can be played with both muses as needed, if desired.}

a guest at court; as the diplomat of the brothers, he could go and stay in a faraway court. your muse would be responsible for him, to teach him the customs and show him around. perhaps caspian is there for malicious reasons, or is simply being deceitful about his identity, but he is ridden with secrets so this is bound to blow up in his face.

he can be flexible to fill pretty much any world, plot, dynamic, etc!
