I was sitting in my last class of the day, different books on history scattered all over my desk. My notes on prehistoric Egyptian artefacts quickly stacking up.
I glanced up at professor Jones as he was writing something on the blackboard. I was so engrossed with him, that I didn't even notice him looking directly at me. He cleared his throat which quickly snapped me out of my trance. He stood right in front of me, I slowly looked up into his gorgeous hazel eyes.
I looked over at the blackboard behind prof. Jones. Prehistoric Egypt- subcategories. I sighed in relief as I had studied prehistoric Egyptian artefacts for almost a year now.
"Well which subcategory would you like me to start with prof. Jones?" I said confidently.
He looked at me suspiciously and said
"What about cats, as we all know by now the Egyptians worshipped cats, care to explain why? Miss. (L/N)"
"Well, the Egyptians saw felines as holy animals, they were believed to be magical creatures that were able to bring luck to the people who had them.
The Egyptians honoured the cats by: dressing them in jewels, feeding them fancy treats, and etc.
When the cats passed away the Egyptians would mummify them to be sure the cats would go to the afterlife"
He looked at me astonished after I finished my own little lecture. His eyes wide- and his lips slightly from surprise. I smiled smugly at his expression.
"Correct! Thank you, miss (L/N), try to pay attention to the lecture next time, okay?"
I winked at him and nodded.
*Ring, Ring, Ring*
The bell rang and everyone started to pack up their stuff.
"Miss. (L/N) I need you to stay here"
I did as he said and sat down on my chair until all the students had left.
He stood up, took off his glasses and put them down on the table.
He walked up to me and sat on the corner of my desk.
I looked up at him, he was just sitting there looking out the window. He looked absolutely stunning in the dim, yellowish light of the classroom.
He looked down at me and said
"You really know your stuff, it's always nice to know someone listens to my lectures."
I giggled slightly at his comment.
"Well, prof, Jones my father was actually an archeologist so I would often go with him on excavations and read the hundreds of books he had on different time periods and old artefacts! So I've basically loved archeology since I was old enough to understand it"
He smiled
"Please, call me Indiana, It's rare to meet someone who's also interested in this field. So let's get aquatinted"
A smile etched its way onto my face as he stuck out his hand for me to shake.
"Okay, then! Hello Indiana, I'm (Y/N) (L/N) pleased to meet a fellow archeology nerd" I said with a laugh.
To be continued if you want it of course
