TELUGU: 0.1 Why learn Telugu?
So I’m (finally) going to start making posts about how to learn Telugu because the lack of resources on Tumblr for this language compared to other ones just makes me :( and the appalling ancientness of resources on the internet at large and in India for the English speaker make me >:(
But that’s a given, you might say, considering that all those other languages are clearly more popular and useful! So here is an under-researched starter pack of Why We Should All Learn Telugu Aside From the Fact That I’m Learning to Speak It and the Lack of Clear Online Resources is Appalling I Gotta Say

@deep_sarbadhikari tells us about an issue a lot of us might be a part of yet it is up to us to solve it - balancing multilingualism. He explains this with a relatable scenario - "Imagine you are a 25 year old Nepali boy who hails from Darjeeling but now living in Calcutta. You go to work and have a great working rapport with your colleagues. But to be able to survive linguistically, you need to master 4 languages if not more. Why? You need to know your Nepali well so that you can talk to you family back home. You need to know Bengali and Hindi in order to go about your daily life and 'fit-in' amongst colleagues. You need to know your English extremely well so that you are taken seriously at work. Inspite of that, you are being tagged as 'that lanky little Nepali guy from Darjeeling' who is 'different.' The accusations sometimes surmount to something where he allegedly responsible for spreading Corona virus and is spoiling the rich culture of the city by indulging in "too much drugs" because aren't all guys from North East junkies and interested in rock music?" . Do you multilingualism is a wonderful skill to have or is it a divisive machinery which splits people into subconscious groups?
