When i read ppl tell artists "youd do better if you drew x character" thEN PAY THEM TO DRAW X CHARACTER but most critique atm is pointless critique, like "girls should have big hips/eyes"; a Real critique is "the lineart is nice but the drawing lacks composition/anatomy/somethingelse"

god i’ll never forget how around a year ago i was browsing tumblr and like, man i just went through my facebook archives to find this again, but basically, i was browsing recommended blogs and saw this ask:
this is not an ask that was sent to me, just something a guy replied publicly to. this wasn’t even on anon!!! i can’t believe someone would think this is critique and feel NO SHAME whatsoever in sending it to a user. the guy even replied super politely, i was shocked
but yea a lot of people just don’t know what it means to give critique and i hate it
