@Regrann from -@wiseandrebellious The Indian Slave Trade (Part 3): Indians lived on the prime farming lands of New England, the Southeast, and the Midwest. Over 200,000 Indians were forced to cultivate tobacco, rice, and indigo. As a result many Indians were exterminated or sold into slavery after they had war with Europeans or other Indian tribes. Like people in Africa, the Indians sold each other into slavery for guns and cheap goods. The Europeans concentrated on encouraging the Indians to fight each other so they cans buy the losing tribes as slaves. They also kidnapped Indians. Indians who were not enslaved had to identify as "free colored", the same as free Africans and "free white persons" for Europeans . This was done by the government to make sure the Indians would lose their rights to the land stolen. Since most negroes or Indians were sold into slavery or identified as "free colored" they did not mix with whites. Since we know the number of Africans in Trans-Atlantic Trade brought here are exaggerated and Europeans were majority of slave. Let's deal with the first trade with involved the original inhabitants, these inhabitants were also Negroes & Mongol Indians. The original triangular trade did not involve Africa. In the [1] first leg of this trade New England Slavers would go to the West Indies and buy sugar. [2]They would take the sugar back to New England and make it into Rum. [3] After making the Rum, New England slavers would sail to Virginia and buy Indian Slaves, and take the slaves and Rum to the West Indies and start the trade over again. So consider this, In 1537 Papal Bulls declared the enslavement of indigenous Americans to be illegal, so you simply convince them that they aren't indigenous and steal their identity. Beginning in the 1620’s Colonizers hired warlike Indians to attack the farming Indians who were to supply them with slaves. Up to 1776 600,000 Indians were sold into slavery in the Caribbean. 300,000 were killed in slave raids or starved after the raids .
