“Whoa, careful there!” My hand darted out quicker than I could talk, steadying the coffee on this person’s table before it spilled all over their laptop. Someone else had bumped the table, and I’d just happened to be close enough- and thank goodness for that, because that was a second off from total disaster. “Sorry if I startled you, but that was about to be a mess.”

This person had approached him at sudden, speaking maddening words about the moon and sun and things that Vaati quite frankly couldn’t care less about. He was still in a terrible mood, and this was. Not. Helping. Why was his luck failing him so significantly right now?

“This looks like a good spot, right?” 

Junpei set down the picnic blanket that he’d been carrying, careful to spread it out. It’d been his idea to go watch the cherry blossoms together, something that just seemed like a perfect springtime activity- he’d been glad that Akane had agreed.

He found it too embarrassing to bring up, but this was always something he’d wanted to do with them as a kid. So why not do it now, instead? Having some ever-blooming cherry blossom trees made for the perfect opportunity.

{🍀} “Akane Kurashiki, I know you’re in there.” Clover was knocking at the door to Junpei’s place- it wasn’t like she actually knew for certain if they were at his place, but the two were like, attached at the hip or something. It felt like a fairly safe bet, and if not then she’d just leave a message with Junpei. “I’ve come to collect your debt.”

Never mind how intimidating that sounded. That wasn’t important.
