Merle couldn’t explain anything, didn’t know what had happened, who he was, where he was or why, Merle simply didn’t understand anything, not even his name, he just wanted to wander the world looking for something, but he didn’t know what he was looking for.
The first day that he began to wander the world, he didn’t speak, he just walked and then he found another human, but this human the Dixon encountered had a horrible odor, but Merle was so confused that He ignored his own survival instinct and approached, but that monster tried to eat him and Merle simply ran and ran away, if he was with his mind right he would never escape a challenge, but at that moment Merle didnt know nothing.
The second day was much better, he managed to trap himself inside a mattress shop, he couldn’t get out of there as there were many humans smelling death out there, fortunately the deadly scents as Merle mentally called them couldn’t see him, After all, Merle was smart enough to put some mattresses to cover the windows.
After three days Merle was hungry and wanting to jump into a lake to drink water, he had remembered that he could get water in lakes, but the food was still a doubt, in addition, being stuck in that store he couldn’t just leave and continue to try to understand more about things - his thinking about it was cut off when he saw what appeared to be an arrow piercing his mattress that protected the door, and then from there things just got worse, Merle heard someone opening the door and saw that someone pushing the mattress off the door, Merle stood staring at the person entering the place, and since he didn’t have a good way to escape, he simply tried to look smaller like an animal would do to show that it wasn’t a threat and perhaps he would be able to survive another day of suffering.
