5 STUDY HACKS by indomiestudies
[ Whether or not you are a procrastinator, these hacks are for you who want to study better. ]
1) Create summaries.
This means organizing materials compiled from different sources in your own way, and rewriting them in less and simpler words in order to understand and memorize them easier. I really recommend using your summary as a study guide to quiz yourself.
Making it pretty and neat will slightly motivate you to actually study, since you will be more interested in reading it. However, remember that over decorating it can be a waste of time.
2) Watch educational videos.
I managed to understand the rays of both concave and convex mirrors thanks to a video!
Search for videos related to the topics you learned at school whenever you feel bored with writing summaries. This way, you might learn something you didn’t know before, such as Math shortcuts.
3) Study with friends.
By doing so, you actually study, either by sharing information, discussing certain materials for better understanding, teaching a friend, quizzing each other, or doing practice exercises together.
4) Relate information with something you like.
When I studied for a Civics test, I related the attitudes opposing state defending with the attitudes of several Harry Potter antagonists.
Connect information with anything you will most likely remember, such as another information, your favorite anime, funny experiences, body movements, doodles, your friends’ faces, etc. Use imagination as well. Trust me, it works!
5) Make up a funny story.
Use this tip to memorize vocabularies or list of shorter informations, such as definitions made by certain people. The weirder, the better.
This method really worked for me during IQ test where I had to memorize 25 words in just 3 minutes.
[ Well, I guess that’s it for my lazy study tips. Hope it helps. ]
