Zuko stood with his back to his friend, not that it particularly mattered with this specific friend. He faced the window, his arms folded over his chest as he stared forward, as if that could make everything appear more casual. "I don't know about nothing," joked Zuko, turning his head slightly towards Toph as he spoke. He then desperately and urgently wiped at his face, determined to make the embarrassing flow of tears cease.
"I just wasn't expecting to see him here, that's all," Zuko half-explained, commenting on the appearance of a sage who had previously been one of his father's number one confidants. Zuko hadn't seen him in many years, and had no idea he was still sniffing around the court at all. Yet, there he was, a man who'd chided him after he'd been burned. One of his father's favorite advisers. "It's ridiculous. I'm the fire lord."
