Interior design firm INDOT have designed a custom, built-in modern cat enclosure for their clients, who wanted to have a dedicated space for their four adopted cats to enjoy. The glass box with a wood slat surround and multiple doors, is supported by iron pipes, and is suspended to allow the cats to be able to see out of the window and over the balcony.

In an effort to keep Indiana roadways safer, the Indiana State Police and The Indiana Department of Transportation are raising awareness for the state’s “Move Over Law”, which requires motorists to approach cautiously, slow down, and move over when an emergency vehicle is stopped on a roadway with emergency lights flashing. INDOT has a new video on its YouTube channel about the Move Over law https://youtu.be/U7enyx7RPF0 . The “Move Over” law requires drivers to change lanes away from emergency vehicles, if you can do so safely. If not, drivers should reduce their speed 10 mph under the posted speed limit and proceed with caution. Motorists should not stop in the roadway, as this may cause a chain reaction rear end collision with other vehicles. Failure to comply can result in fines, license suspension, or even jail time. The “Move Over” law applies to these vehicles: Police vehicles Ambulances Fire trucks and rescue equipment Highway [...]
BOONE AND HENDRICKS COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) have lane restrictions on State Road 39. S.R. 39 will be chip and sealed from Lebanon to Lizton. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route. Depending on weather conditions, crews will be on site from 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Work is expected to last through Tuesday, October 13. INDOT crews will be applying a chip-seal treatment to preserve and protect nearly ten miles of S.R. 39. Loose stone will be on the highway temporarily during the initial cure of the asphalt. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route. Drivers are urged to slow down and allow additional space between vehicles to prevent stone chips from damaging windshields or paint on auto bodies. Once the chip seal has cured, crews will sweep the highway to clear away loose stone and apply a light application of dark asphalt material to lock in remaining stone and minimize dust. [...]
