Satoko is really a loving woman, a really cool mom.

Her words are simple but powerful, she just wants her child to live and be happy.

I love how strong willed she is, we know from the extras that,since she's from Tokyo, the villagers always considered her a stranger, and she was never afraid of them, on the contrary!She always fought back. I'm sorry for her and her relationship with Toshinori, I think she genuinely loves (loved?) him but yeah, it's complicated...

But I'm glad she finally had this moment with Yoshiki

And Yoshiki's eyes are so sincere, he also wants to live, my sweet child🥹 If I think of how suicidal he was in the early chapters of the manga, he really is in a better place now,even with all the terrible things that are happening.

I'm glad the elephant in the room was addressed bc there was literally no way in hell, when "Hikaru" is so different from Hikaru that Yuki, his mom, never noticed it. I wonder if this thing will be expanded or not and I wonder how much Yuki knows about the whole ordeal.

the first time i read the chapter i was like “oh no did Kohei inadvertently wish for something that led to his own beloved son’s death??!?! ”

But wouldn't he know very well how wishes somehow always backfire?

Wouldn't he knew better? But at the same time, on one hand, he fought with the elders because he believed Unuki-sama was not what they believed it was and he was sure the ritual on the mountain was useless and he didn't want to pass this burden to his son.

On the other, we know that he taught Hikaru about the "curse" and the story of the village and Hikaru was rightfully horrified by the cruelty of the villagers of the past. It's true we saw only a glimpse of what he said to Hikaru and he was still a child, maybe he didn't have time to explain Hikaru everything, to spare him the trip on the mountain...

But idk, this part here is very eerie for some reason, In what circumstances did Kouhei and "Hikaru" met in the past??

I like that Mokumokuren reposted their backstory about Toshinori and Satoko.

I know it's old news, Idk if it was explained in the novel or if it was just this comic, but it's nice that it is explained again that Toshinori wanted to be a novelist, (this explains why he has so many books in his studio/his room? i wonder if he and satoko just stay in separate rooms at this point) but he couldn't due to the family business, was sent to Tokyo to study at uni, he met Satoko that already worked as a hairdresser, he got lost all the time and she was worried for him (also, she was - and still is a baddie, she was so cool!)

I believe that Toshinori is closeted af and was/is in love with Kohei and it was unrequited, (sorry I like Kohei but he doesn't give me queer vibes - but i still enjoy the ship sometimes lol), but I also think that at first he tried to make things work, confirmed also by Mokumokuren's tweet so it's sweet that in the manga Satoko adds this line about Toshi's favourite dish

I love they really added everything, it looks awesome! They invited of course the voice actors, here there are Kowaka Wakana (Kurebayashi Rie's voice actor) and Masatomo Nakazawa (Indou Kouhei's voice actor) at the exhibition and of course, Kobayashi Chiaki (Yoshiki's seiyuu) but that deserves a separate post 😏

Something, something, Mokumokuren stated in this extra that Yoshiki was closer to Kouhei than his own dad.

Kouhei's death really had a terrible impact. I mean, death is like that in many cases, but Kouhei was young, full of live, trying to fight back the elders regarding the ritual because he didn't want that burden to fall on Hikaru, unwillingly after his death (I want to know more, the narrative through Toshinori's words implies it was probably not an accident) left Hikaru having to deal with the ritual alone, beside, you know, having to deal as a child with the death of his father, Yoshiki suffered as well the loss of an uncle-like figure, and Toshinori, well...
