Industrial Designers-Industrial Art Lovers – here’s a wild one. Cut crystal glass bars joined by machine bolts. This design conceived the other day came to life last night when my bolts and washers arrived. I could not wait to make this sample. My only disappointment is how lacking the photo is to show its brilliance. What you see when holding this piece is dramatic beyond words, the reflection, refraction and optical splendor of the structure is best appreciated in person. This sample is available for any to see. The design concept in this post shows several configuration options, use your imagination for others. A wild and daring feature of this piece is how the bolts just grab the edge of the glass pinch style, it’s a magic trick. My thought for this concept is hung wall art... a single piece, multiple pieces or an entire wall! This could be a room divider as well, it would need beefed up engineering. It would be neat in or around a custom bar.
