In this series, the photographs are the objective evidence of a simple experiment. Blood is poured in water and the interaction between the two elements is recorded. Blood dissolves and disperses according to physical properties and the laws of gravity. In the resulting images, blood takes on a diversity of shapes, colors and densities. The evolution is dynamic and evokes both frailty and vital energy.

Karina Eibatovaby - Mineral Admiration is a new series of watercolor paintings by Vienna-based artist and illustrator Karina Eibatova. The juxtaposition of using a water-based medium to create images of stone is in line with Eibatova’s desire to only create images from nature, an exploration that has lead to dozens of publications in magazines, newspapers, and journals around the world.
