"Korra?" Asami's voice is soft as she steps into the garden where she'd last seen her girlfriend wander into. Meditation, she'd said, with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. Space had been given, but space could only do so much and her concern grew as time passed. "You've been out here a while. Everything alright?"
Despite how little she had seen of Asami lately, she sped off for the gardens as soon as she arrived at the Sato Mansion. Asami had been in the sitting room with one of Mako and Bolin’s many relatives, Korra just feigned a smile and said she had been slacking on her meditation recently. With Naga still in the south pole, she knew that she would be left alone for as long as she needed to be. The sun had just begun to set, still above the horizon when she sat down and put her hands together.
Korra zoned out, allowing herself to just sit in silence, not focusing on anything in particular. She had no idea how much time had passed when Asami made herself known. She noted the sound of her heels clicking before opening her blue eyes. The sun had long since set, what stars could be seen now visible in the night sky. She had meditated right through dinner. Allowing her stiff shoulders to relax, she let out a heavy sigh as she stared at her lap.
“Not really. Some guy in town today started asking me things about Kuvira that he shouldn’t have even known. And then he started talking about how I ruined the Avatar Cycle because of what happened with Raava when I fought my uncle. I never really blamed myself, but..I guess he’s right. The past avatars are gone, and I’m the one to blame.”
