Running an errand to pick up something for the center–mainly that of more bags of tea–Nora had found herself stuck in the rain. Pulling out her very cheap rain coat she’d made a break back to the center only to collide with a stranger as she rounded a corner. Apology exchanged on both behalves she’d noted her more or less drenched. Simply unable to just leave her there like such she’d convinced her into coming with her to get some shelter which, lead to the here and now.
Once she’d left the female alone to change albeit, still a little flushed, she raced back to the main room. Handing the boxes of tea to the nurse behind the counter she flashed a smile as they gave her a towel in exchange. Heading to the small couch area she removed the raincoat which had hardly done much to shelter her from the rain. Wringing out her hair a touch she tightened her bow as she took a seat, momentarily relaxing.
Moments ticked by and soon enough Nora heard the sounds of footsteps in the rather empty center. Turning she saw the female walking over, smiling at her as she took a seat across from her. As the thank you was given the nurse came over, presenting them both with a cup of tea before excusing herself.
“It’s no problem. Besides, I couldn’t just leave you soaked like that, it wouldn’t sit too well on my concision.”
Voice sweet she took the hot cup of tea into her hands, sipping it lightly before setting it back down on the table.
“My names Eleanora Silk, but you can just call me Nora. What about you?”
Giving the nurse who had walked over a smile before the left, Korra peered at the tea, wondering what kind it was but there was only one way to find out. Taking mug by the handle, she took a sip. Her face winced, pulling the mug away from her with a look of dislike. Setting the mug back down, she casually began to spin her right index finger slowly, causing the liquid in the cup to move. The tea was far too sweet for her liking.
“It’s nice to meet you, Nora. My name is Korra. And really, water doesn’t really bother me. I grew up in the South Pole anyway.”
Her crystal blue eyes rested on the mug again, watching the liquid swirl as if on its own with her finger still twirling. Looking back to this new friend, she smiled lightly.
“So I know this may sound weird, but I don’t know where I am. None of the things around here look familiar.”
Korra conveniently left out how everything seemed more advanced than where she was from. This girl seemed nice and she didn’t want to scare her with the prospect of being from another world. Something like that would freak most people out and she’d rather still have a friend in this strange new land. Glancing back at the cup, she realized that she was bending it and quickly stopped, her hand coming to rest on her leg. She smiled at Nora, hoping she hadn’t noticed.
Suyin sighed worridly from the young woman’s apparent DISTRESS and bended the hunk of meteorite up from the ground, placing it back onto it’s pedestal. Shortly after, the Matriarch kicked up a small piece of earth she formed into a provisional chair she sat down on, quietly hazing over at Korra. The poor girl looked even MORE broken then the time they parted ways, and Suyin felt a small wince in her heart out of sympathy.
“Do you want to talk about it?” the Matriarch asked carefully, placing her palm onto the wheelchair in an attempt to comfort. If Korra didn’t want her parents to know she was there, Suyin wouldn’t tell them, but if there was something going on, she wanted to know. After all, Korra was in Zaofu, which was the Matriarch’s DOMAIN, and Suyin made sure to know EVERY detail about her visitors. “You can trust me, Korra.”
With the rock back in place, Korra leaned back in her wheelchair and kept her gaze on her lap. Her body was tense, just waiting for Su to scold her. She had left the south pole without permission, she had left in secret when she was in no condition to really be up and about. But that didn’t matter to the young Avatar. She just wanted to see people other than her mother and father and occasionally Katara when she came to see Korra.
“I just..missed everything. Everything that I’ve come to know and love like grass and a fresh breeze. When dad went to Republic City a few weeks ago, i wanted to go as well, but he wouldn’t let me..”
She knew her parents were just worried and that they cared. But it was becoming stiffing. She knew she was healing and had to rest, but with their urging to go and see Katara for healing session and keeping her away from Republic City when she just wanted to back for a visit, Korra was getting annoyed.
“Korra, aAHHH!! Korra!!” It was so good to see her again. Even though he was occupied the entire time she and Asami had taken off for their vacation into the Spirit World, he had thought of her the entire time. It was natural to do so, considering the only times he had seen her after three years of no contact from her, were encased in battle against Kuvira’s forces and preparing for Varrick and Zhu Li’s wedding. It felt so right of all places, to meet at one of Narook’s establishments. He returned Korra’s hug to the best of his ability, resisting the urge to pick her up and spin her around. For one, he didn’t want to break anything, and another, he didn’t want to be kicked out. Stepping out of the hug, Bolin eagerly took his seat across from where she was sitting. “Oh yeah! You know it! Man, even though I had some really great meals during my time in the Earth Kingdom, I missed these noodles. Ah, I could just cry!” Smelling the aroma of the meals from other patrons brought back some of the greatest memories. “I am so glad Ol’ Narook opened up a new shop. He really needed to expand his business. I had been telling him that for years! I’m honored that he finally took my advice.” Bolin nodded sagely, then grinned, splaying his arms out on the table. “Alright, come on now, you gotta spill the beans. Tell me how it went! I need details! I want to know everything you and Asami did in the Spirit World!” Wiggling his eyebrows, he leaned in a bit. “Everything.”
Korra let out a laugh, a wide grin present on her face. It had been years since she had been to Narooks, the last time being with all of Team Avatar just before President Raiko had kicked the Avatar out of the city. Even when she was recovering she hadn't bothered to come, knowing full well she wouldn't have been able to eat it.
Returning to her seat on the opposite side of the booth, she watched Bolin sit down across from her, her smile never faltering.
"I know what you mean! All those months of struggling to find food just brought my thoughts back to Narook's every time. Man, you don't realize how much you miss something until you're eating out of a trash can."
A waiter came over and took their orders. Korra, of course, ordered the biggest bowl of seaweed noodles on the menu. It was the most expensive too. Noticing a look on Bolin's face at her rather pricey order, she reached into her pocket to pull out a wad of yuans.
"Today's on Asami. When I told her we were going out to Narook's, she insisted on sending me off with some money. So go ahead and get whatever you like."
She put the money away and took a drink from her water while he ordered. Once the waited had walked away she turned her attention to him again.
"Well, I'm obviously not going to tell you everything, Bolin. Some things that happened are just between me and Asami."
She wiggled her eyebrows slightly, hoping he would get the hint.
"But oh man, where do I even start? Should I start from the top or just go straight into things?"
needless to say asami felt TERRIBLE for her mistake. almost insisting they take korra somewhere, but she doubted the avatar would be willing to seek medical help and anyways — she seemed fine. save for the bleeding.
❝ what were you doing rummaging through my fridge at three in the morning? i thought you were a burglar or — something. ❞ not to mention she HAD been half asleep as well.
“I was out in the spirit wilds, trying to figure some things out about them. I got just got back and was hungry. I didn’t feel like going back to Air Temple Island, so I figured I would come here. I thought I was being sneaky.”
Touching the lump again, she groaned lightly and looked around. Using her water bending, she pulled some water from the nearby sink and began to use it for healing. The bubble of water glowed slightly.
“Exactly, and I intended to KEEP it that way,” Lin replied with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest as the two came to a standstill.
“I’m not gonna randomly start a fight, Lin. I’ve changed in the past three years.”
It didn’t take long for the ship to pull up to the docks and as it did, Korra’ grin grew larger and larger. The boat opened and before any of the crew members could start unloading the shipment, Naga came bounding off the ship and right into Korra. The two went right off the docks, making a huge splash.
Best buds.

Korra keeps her wrists and arms covered as much as possible. Despite having moved past what the Red Lotus had done to her, even though she still has nightmares, Korra doesn’t like too look at the scars she has. The outline of the chains that bound her rest on her wrists, the outlines clears. The metal had heated against the skin, leaving her with a sort of branding. The scars have faded in three years, but are still quite visible.
The gestation period for a Polar Bear dog is anywhere between two to four months. Mating season usually happens between March and August.
Whenever Korra has some free time, she’ll sit and watch Asami work. She finds it fascinating to watch her repair a Sato Mobile by herself and is always amused at how she can get so dirty, but still look beautiful. She’ll often times sit in her office when she’s working as well, so she can bring Asami food and pull her away to make sure she rests. It doesn’t happen often, but she does her best to make sure the young CEO doesn’t work herself into an early grave.

― … why are you looking at me like that? I mean… spending three days straight at the office and sleeping there… plenty of people do it… like… once I saw Asami sleeping at her workshop a-and…”
Trying to justify himself too hard.
“No. No no no.”
Korra said with a huff, grabbing the man by the shoulder and forcefully pulling him up from his chair. Not caring about the prying eyes around them, the Avatar began to lead her friend out the door, planning on taking him home.
“You are going back home to sleeping. Just because you saw Asami do it doesn’t mean it’s okay. And don’t expect me to carry you all the way back to your apartment.”
Send “Rumour has it...” and a rumour about my muse in my ask!
My muse will then react to it being spread.
“I’m fairly sure that you thought so when you came to Republic City the FIRST time too.”
“Yeah well, that was then and this is now. I actually know the city and there hasn’t been much crime recently.”
Korra let out a small huff, turning her attention to Yue Bay. A ship could be seen coming in and the Avatar couldn’t be more excited.

After passing through the spirit portal, she had expected to find herself in downtown Republic City. But when she opened her eyes, she was in a forest she had no memory of. Looking all around as the skies opened up, she found that the portal was gone and she was alone. Pouting slightly, she began to walk around, not bothering to use her bending to create a shield from the storm. She was already soaked so why bother?
As she moved along, she happened upon a city nearby and began to head for it in hopes of finding out where exactly she was. Turning a corner, she crashed right into someone who was attempting to get out of the rain. Still standing on her feet, being much larger than the other, she began to apologize with a hand extended to the other. Despite how little words were shared, Korra found herself pulled along by the woman with strange hair. Was it naturally that color is did Varrick put out a new kind of varri-dye?
With the new set of clothes, despite being able to dry her clothes herself, the Avatar decided to humor this stranger and began to change. Rolling her shoulders slightly, her head glanced back at the stranger who was now pink with blush. Korra blinked a few times, raising an eyebrow at her words. She thought that she had left. With the door now closed and Korra for sure alone, she finished changing. The pants were snug, clearly belonging to the smaller woman, but she shirt fit her rather well. It wasn’t quite what she preferred to wear but it was something. Leaving her clothes as requested, she stepped out of the room and headed to meet the stranger. Her bare feet sounded against the tile as she moved.
“Thanks for the clothes, but you really didn’t have to do that.”
She gave her a light smile, taking a seat across from her.
“Don’t mention it, kid. Who knows how much TROUBLE you could’ve caused on the way here.”
“What kind trouble could I have done? I’m just coming to get Naga and then I’m heading to Asami’s. I would hardly cause a problem, Lin.”
Open
“You know you didn’t have to come with me to go and pick up Naga from the docks.”
@procurvi
❝ I told you not to touch it. ❞
Korra took a sharp inhale of breath as she winced, hand gingerly poking at the bleeding lump that had risen on the back of her head. She had been unconscious for a few moments after the initial hit, but Asami had woken her for fear of a concussion.
“Then what’d you hit me with a frying pan for?”
