Jamie let a small giggle escape her lips as she watched her three years old son balancing with the tray with the cookies on it. She stood up from her seat, walking over to him and taking it out of his tiny hands, placing it on the table they were sitting at. "Stay here baby, mommy's going to get your hot chocolate, okay?"She smiled at him, stroking his cheek gently, before turning around, walking back into the line, waiting for her turn. She just checked the time on her phone, when an oddly familiar voice reached her, causing Jamie to almost drop the phone she was holding. Her eyes widened as she looked up at the man standing front of her, not being sure if she wanted to run away or simply punch him on the face. -- Jamie was over being mad at Max from taking off to California with Riley three years ago. It hurt like a bitch back then, especially when she found out she was pregnant, but was too afraid to tell him about it. She wasn't selfish enough to ruin his happiness, because knew him enough to be sure that if Max knew about the baby, he would've stayed with her. -- She took a step back, as she blinked up at him, forcing a polite smile on her fice. "Hello."She whispered, her throat clenching. Jamie didn't want to talk to him, to even see him, especially with her son so close. Then she felt a pair of tiny hands grabbing her jacket, pulling it a little. "Mommy? Chocolate?"He blabbed in his sweet baby voice. Jamie lifted him up with a tense smile on her face, before glancing back at Max praying that he wouldn't recognize the wild curls and adorable dimples on her son.
