"Ow!" The die rubbed his head before whipping around with a glare. "What the hell?"

"i will do whatever it takes to protect you from... him, mr. wolfwood. you have my word." (infernacxpula)
“Yeah? An’ why would ya do that?” Nick frowned, distrustful but not yet hostile. Whatever this guy was, he hadn’t exactly given him a reason to fear him- though he also hadn’t given him much of a reason not to yet either.
“...So long as it don’t involve his method of ‘protecting’ me, then I guess that’s ok. Don’t you work for him, though?”

Finally.
After all this time and money spent on researching this place it was about to pay off! Big time if his sources were correct, and since they were his of course they would be right, if not they were in for a slow and painful death.
Ignoring the team he brought with him about waiting to see if the place was safe to enter he strode right inside and up to where the Inferna Copula was said to be kept/hidden/or ended up from wherever. He didn’t read all the details, all he knew was that this would be a quick pit stop on his way to waking the Warrior.
Once you knew where to look finding the ring wasn’t so hard, in fact this was probably one of the easiest times he’s ever had when it came to ‘treasure’ hunting; not counting the people he lost due to his own rage or giving them false information when it came to finding the place, or even the amount of money he spent on this journey.
Jack swiped the ring from where it rested and quickly placed it on his finger before any of the poindexters could tell him to wait. They would have wanted to study the properties of the ring and who knew how long that would take? He needed to wear it now.
“Riiiiiiise and shine, you got a new master.”
"a fleshbag who killed his boss to take his place. i've never seen such bravery." (infernacxpula)
@infernacxpula
“I know, right?? But dare to believe it, kiddo, I am just THAT awesome!”
sniff sniff. “are you the hybrid’s son?” (infernacxpula)
He stiffened at the mention of Jack, hands tightening into fists as the recent hurt and anger burned inside him again. That lying son of a bitch...
“.....No.”
@infernacxpula
"a friend of wolfwood's, i presume?" the troll asked vash. (infernacxpula)
…WHAT IN THE HECK?!
“Uh, y-yeah I guess you could say that. And you are Mister…?”
@infernacxpula
"... fleshbag." angor stared back at jack, but instead of his eyes being a vibrant gold, they were a dull yellow. something was wrong. "help me." (infernacxpula)
@infernacxpula
“Uh, I think you meant to say; ‘Handsome Jack, Sir’. Try again and I might listen.”

It was a dark and gloomy night, much like the die's mood as he walked aimlessly through the lesser populated corners of the isles. The contents of his flask were about depleted and he barely felt intoxicated. Great, might as well head back now. He let out a sigh, starting to make his way back to the casino. He had been down by the water on Isle Three and decided to take a shortcut through the bushes considering he didnt really feel like walking all the way around town to get to the path and he wasnt in his work clothes. Little did he know that in the midst of the shrubbery a portal to the shadow realm had been created. It was dark out and he wasn't the one to carry a lantern due to the attention it would draw, so it was a complete surprise to him when the next step he took sent him plunging downwards about 40 feet into a pit.
"Oh shhhit!" Kingston yelped out, narrowly catching himself on...a floating rock? What was this place? The atmosphere felt odd, similar to being underwater or in space, yet still breathable. He pulled himself onto the asteroid, still unsure about the gravitational laws down here, but the rock seemed sturdy enough. He scanned the area, his green eyes illuminated. Maybe someone was around who knew the way out?
