The broadness of her shoulders clouded a great view of stirred just behind her, shadows seemingly creeping under the ghosting weight that only sent a chill within the air and drew out all the warmth expect for her radiating heat.  

She pressed finger to her lips, hushing him as she peered over her shoulders at these lithe figures roaming within the confines of the building before converging upon a little old woman that had wondered within the shop, their presence unknown to the elder victim as life was drawn from her frail body and death watched her collapsed to the floor suffering a heart attack. 

Only one stayed as another person yelled for help, Bast finally relenting her hold and turning back to the woman whom struggled to breath as pain coursed through her body, her heart feebly trying to work against the cold touch of end claiming her.  Even with the call and those around her trying to save her life, her spirit was already drained and departing from the husk of a body, guided away from what she perceived to be a long lost loved one.  

Betty briefly caught eyes with this haunting being, her body still hiding her friend as it left.
