As couples wait to have children, risks of infertility can cause further delays. The likelihood of GYN conditions affecting fertility increase as women delay having children and it makes sense that assisted fertility and infertility surgery rises as well. When Lisa was ready to get pregnant, she discovered there was a problem. A grapefruit sized tumor on her ovary would make it impossible for her to carry a child to term.
Lisa had minimally invasive GYN surgery at CIGC and was able to conceive via IVF shortly after her procedure. In May 2015, Lisa and her husband welcomed their daughter Piper into the world.
