Stars on Your Face, a Smile in the Sky || Open
Having finally evaded his two younger brothers thanks to the many hidden passages spread throughout the school, Baernd slipped out from behind a tapestry. As he made his way down the corridor, he took a large sip from the bottle in his hand, successfully managing to finish one drink - at least he was pretty sure it was just the one - before even reaching any of the parties. Well, it was always better to have some beforehand, right? He thought he remembered hearing that somewhere.
As much as he wanted to pass it off as just that, enjoying himself a bit on his way to hang out with everyone else at the parties, it wasn't entirely true. In reality, Baernd has barely even made it out of his dorm room that night, having sat on his bed for a long time simply staring the outfit he'd picked out for the night as it lay neatly folded next to him. It had taken him far too long to pull on his suit, picked out by his mother for the occasion, and to slip into his shoes.
In truth, he was worried and afraid of what might happen that night. unable to clear his mind of what had been going on around school for the past long time now, and how it felt as if the staff and ministry were trying to cover it up and pass it off as less of a threat than it was. That was why the bottle was there. To forget his worries, or at least suppress them, the Ravenclaw had resorted to using alcohol as a means of re-directing his thoughts. His brothers had also provided a nice distraction for a short while.
So with a new empty bottle in his hand, Baernd made his way towards his first stop. The... Ravenclaw? Party. Yeah, that was it. He was supposed to stop by hos own house's party first, to see how things were going. Getting distracted on his way up the stairs, his climb towards the top of the tower took far longer than it should have. in fact, he didn't quite make it all the way up before he stopped, leaning against the railing as he stared at the magically enchanted stars, admiring them.
"Isn't it pretty?" He asked as someone passed by, a fond smile on his face as he reached a hand out towards the constellation in front of him. "Did y'know, a lot of magic went into this! It was hard work!" His words came out half-muffled by the arm against which his chin was resting, before the boy turned his face to see who he was talking to. "You going up or down?"
