While it was true that Haru was an optimistic sort of person who was both innocent and gentle, she did have other sides to her. For example, should the situation call for it, she will show a fiercer side. She was very protective when it came to the younger kids, and she absolutely won’t hesitate to slap someone if they mess with them. Tsuna could certainly attest to this.
She often liked to continue the visage of ignorant bliss, but it was hard to do that when you knew the true nature of the dealings her friends were involved with. That Mafia game wasn’t a game. It was real life. Their lives.
She’s seen how the guys would lay on a hospital bed due to their battle injuries. There were many a time she’d lay in her own bed at home, wondering when she’d see them again if they were away on a mission (ie a ‘summo wrestling competition’).
She quietly listened to Bianchi talk, nodding her head slowly, offering a small sigh. “Sometimes, when Haru is alone, she starts thinking. She worries about everyone, and she wonders why they decided to be involved with the mafia. Some of them had a choice not to.” Of course, this includes herself.
No, she didn’t regret being involved with the mafia... Tsuna and his friends. It was just... sometimes, she couldn’t help but wonder what her life would be like if she never associated with them. Was that wrong of her? Surely they’d forgive her for her wayward thoughts. “Have you ever wondered what you’re life would be like if you weren’t involved with the mafia?”
