i think the thing about batman's no kill rule is that it's essentially bruce saying "guilty people don't deserve to be murdered on the street either, actually." and he's not wrong.

i know for a fact that Astruc knows nothing about teenagers because i've never seen that many teenagers upset about school closing down, not even the "good" ones.
superman being good, superman being kind, superman being hope, superman believing in the kindness of others, superman saving squirrels, superman having empathy for the animal that was set loose in the city and being upset when it was killed, superman sees people are dying and that needs to be solved and he has the ability to do that and so he has to and that's all there is to it, superman being the good kid his parents raised.
please after years of movies writing him to be a nihilistic fuck, this movie healed something in me I didn't realize was broken and i've also never felt more vindicated, i am right i swear i'm right i swear i knew it all along, superman is hope and i've never been happier about that than right now.
you know mettaton being trans is, like... canon right. like it's not a headcanon, it's not subtextual, his backstory is literally that he ran away, changed his name and pronouns, and got a doctor to give him his ideal body.
Miraculous Ladybug is never beating the "actually a fantasy for helicopter parents" allegations, i fear
I don't think I like the ml fandom's death grip is has on the idea of "true holders" of the miraculous. this isn't digimon, the miraculers aren't like the next digidestined with an empathic link to a creature that lives in their pocket watch or some shit, they were just given magic jewelry by a Guy™.
why tf can donita just call martin's creature pod lmfao???
there are pretty much just two rules for batman portrayals i think, and they're really simple rules actually, very easy to follow: he can't kill, and he can't scare children.
