When Catherine is late to the party... @infinitees
Hi Ash! Would you be able to let your followers know that I'm selling 2 tickets to see Harry in Boston on June 18 at the TD Garden? I'm going to a show in a different city so I need to sell these, and I'm selling them for exactly what I paid for them. Thank you!
Someone settle this for @infinitees and me.
Slow Hands: Country or nah?
My best friend is putting life, limb, and sanity on the line today for concert tickets and I couldn't be more proud.
I’m lucky Catherine loves me because she’s about to wake up to this... (@infinitees SORRRYYYYY)
infinitees replied to your post: I really love how these people think that if Amy...
Imagine if in some turn of events that *did* happen and the pat test confirmed reality… would they still come up with some way to keep believing? (Probably)
You know they would.
infinitees replied to your post “2, 3, 4, 11!”
I just watched a documentary about Eleanor of Aquitaine and the Empress Matilda! Both pretty remarkable
I like Empress Matilda, too!
2, 3, 4, 11!
2. Favorite male historical figure (HF):
Obviously, I have a huge soft spot for Robert Kennedy. He is My Dude. The one I’ve read the most extensively about. The one I have a campaign poster of in my bedroom. The one I theorize about what Could Have Been. In all seriousness, I like the message of his 1968 campaign, especially after LBJ said he wasn’t going to run. It became more about domestic issues rather than just the Administration’s Vietnam policy, like race relations, helping the poor, etc. Granted, he was not always like that. I appreciate his growth over time and his slow recognition of the unique privileges he possessed coming from a wealthy white family and how he could use his privilege to help others.
3. Favorite female HF:
Eleanor of Aquitaine! I first learned about her while I was studying the Crusades and I read about the Second Crusade. I also did an extensive research project about her role on the crusade, as well as her marriage to Louis VII. She lived a long and remarkable life, married to two kings and the mother of many more.
4. An HF I really dislike:
I have a lot tbh but I’ll pick one from my time period of focus, the Cold War: Ronald Reagan. I loathe him and can’t stand the way he’s been canonized in American politics. His ‘trickle down’ theory doesn’t work for the poor and he should have been impeached over Iran-Contra.
11. Favorite nonfiction history book:
This is hard because I’ve read A Lot of books. I’d probably have to say The March on Washington: Jobs, Freedom, and the Forgotten History of Civil Rights by William P. Jones because it taught me a lot about the origins of the idea for the March on Washington (decades before it actually happened) and the planning behind it, as well as its significance at the time through today. It’s not some static event that happened one day and then was gone the next. It took a lot of coordination to ensure that everyone who wanted to participate could get to D.C. (organizing buses, carpools, etc.) and I think that’s something that gets lost when it’s talked about. It was a massive and remarkable event.
