i've been wanting to make that post for ages but have held back every time.

i just saw yet another ignorant ramble like that on the victoria tag, though, and it was the last straw. i was going to message the person privately and ask them not to tag their hate but they don't have an ask box open so i figured i'd throw some passive-agressive shade instead.

You know your shit when it comes to revenge and I feel like you’re the only bloody intelligent person in this fandom so I enjoy talking about revenge with you, you beauty x

This is the greatest thing I’ve heard all day, I’m so flattered <3 Revenge has been my life for the past three years so I would hope I’ve managed to produce some insightful ramblings along the way lol.

I think one of the reasons it’s so difficult to spot intelligent Revenge fans is that they tend to keep to themselves. Most of them don’t post much on the tags so it’s always the ignorant ones that stand out. I gotta say, though, the worst fans aren’t on tumblr- they’re on Instagram. A grand majority of them shamelessly steal and repost other people’s edits on a daily basis and most of them are straight up crazy. I honestly fear them sometimes.

They both deserve to be happy absolutely, they do but I really like the idea of actions having consequences and given the premise of the show it makes sense and I agree that revenge is nasty and ugly but I feel its necessary in the balance of things

Oh I agree that actions should have consequences, but I don’t they should be brought on as a result of someone else’s revenge. Because all that ends up doing is giving another person reason to seek revenge- and when that happens the cycle just goes on and on without there ever being closure. It really doesn’t benefit anyone, imo. That’s why I feel like it would be cheap for the show to end with Emily attaining personal happiness as a result of completing her revenge. It’s a false message to send and very unoriginal one too, I think. Both Victoria and Emily have a lot of soul-searching to do this season.

I'm such an outcast in this fandom. As if not being a supporter of Emily wasn't enough, I also don't ship ConVict- which 99% of Victoria fans do- and that combination makes me so unbelievably unpopular lmao.

DON'T HATE ME OMG I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST EMILY FANS OR EMILY VANCAMP OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT I JUST CAN'T TAKE S2-S3 EMILY THORNE.

(You probably didn't know I'm not and Emily fans because, unlike some other assholes in this fandom, I never make hateful text posts about any character no matter how much I dislike them and even if I did I would never ever tag them. The only time I talk about my frustration with Emily is when I'm writing a meta or someone sends me a message about my opinion or some ignorant jerk on the Victoria tag tries to put Emily on some sort of moral high-ground whilst demonizing Victoria- in which case I will lose my shit.

But I never post character-hate unprovoked and when I do talk about characters I'm not fond of I explain my reasons for disliking them. You will never see me make juvenile posts saying "omg i hate emily she sucks" or anything like that. Fans like that annoy the hell out of me and there are quite a few obnoxious ones in this fandom whom I've just had to block because their inability to see beyond Emily's perspective and make coherent text posts was seriously riding my last nerve. So yeah...no hard feelings? )
