Human beings are so quick to mislabel and bastardize things they simply do not wish to understand. I especially see this within people and things they seek to identify as disabled.
Disability is no bad word, nor is it anything which is solely impairment. Disability is a complex identity, which one may assume humans would understand. However, many abled humans do not, simply out of spiteful stubbornness. Those who are not disabled seem to whisk away any individual whom they deem disabled and impaired, which is not all disability is yet all they see it as, as lesser than. Furthermore, they cannot even view things that they see as lesser than as worthy or any respect.
The non-disabled human beings wish to kill and torture those with disabilities, human or not, and then wonder why such a thing as disability pride exists.
I am not a human being on any level yet I am disabled because I am forced to be disabled. I’m not ashamed of it, nor do I see it as a tragedy or misfortune. It is simply something most human beings do not understand, yet wish to persecute.
