I think this crossover would be really interesting, and it has not left my mind for the past week or so.
I want to put out more little comics and drawing of this crossover, though I’ve been debating which book to do the crossover with. I might end up doing multiple, but as for a single one, I’m thinking of going with after book 3, and have him go with Amelia and Hazel.
I have some ideas for that that I might explain in a later post if anyone is interested in the concept.
[ID: An Infinity Train fan comic based on Blake and the turnip denizen. These characters (and the environment) were conceptualized for a visual mockup of the possible themes for book 6. The fan comic itself is fully coloured and shaded, with black borders around each panel. The text is hand-drawn in a blocky style that mimics old digital text fonts, and the speech bubbles closely wrap around the text.
Panel 1: Blake and the turnip denizen have walked into a new car, filled with pink clouds with a blue sky, giant floating eyeballs, hands, and mouths of different colours and skin tones. They have relatively neutral expressions as Blake and Turnip look around. Blake is narrating, asking “Do you really expect me to believe this?” /end panel 1.
Panel 2: A close up shot of Blake and Turnip. Turnip responds, “You don’t have to understand something in order for it to exist.” Blake looks troubled. He has dark bags under his eyes as he is slouched over, looking up at the sky at something in the distance. The tone of the clouds and the sky have shifted, and they are beginning to look dark and restless. /end panel 2.
Panel 3: A close up shot of Blake’s arm, that is glowing green covered in a repeating line of the number 2 that ends just past his wrist. The sky and the clouds have gotten darker and more red. The floating eyeballs lurk in the foreground, with the mouths opened angrily, with bright red light growing in the back of their throats. In the far distance, a near planet-sized red eyeball is rising on the horizon of dark pink clouds, watching Blake. Turnip continues saying, “Everything in here is a reflection of you. And can’t you see?” The dialogue continues on the next panel. /end panel 3.
Panel 4: This is the final panel. “There’s something rotten in the air,” Turnip finishes. The environment is menacing and dark. The sky has now turned purple with dark clouds, and the clouds that were originally pink and are now a red-toned magenta. Blake and the turnip denizen are viewed from a bird’s eye view from behind. They’re still sitting, and they’re looking up to the giant red eyeball looming above them. It has a glowing red pupil and pulsing veins. Clouds wisp around it, along with smaller floating eyeballs with glowing red pupils. Around Blake and Turnip are screaming mouths and crawling hands, all facing Blake. Bright red light shines out from the mouths’ throats. /end ID]

what if lake and the cat interacted a liiiiitttle bit more?
a snippet of an idea that came to me during my psych lecture. something about seeing a bunch of denizens from different cars playing in the lucky cat carnival was really interesting. there's a whole secret underworld of denizens who don't necessarily care about the passengers, but make like lake and carve out a life for themselves—like samantha, in particular.
