Started a rewatch of Infinity train last night (finishing Book 1), and my brother joined in, having not watched it before. When the Mirror Police showed up he quipped ”Big concept for guys who are in just one episode”, assuming they were just one offs.
If only he knew…
Rewatching Infinity Train, and I just remembered how much I loved One One, Hate Agents Sieve and Mace and ship the because gay, how when the third book started I kinda wanted Grace and Simon to have their number go down, and get home. I literally just made this post because I just wanted to talk about it. Currently just starting book 4.
*Sieve comforts Mace about losing Lake again*
Me: Haha, y’all boutta kiss?
*Mace gets ground to death on one of the train’s wheels, screaming, blood leaking through his eye sockets and his viscera splattering all over Lake’s face*
Me: …Guess not
Statement of various survivors of The Infinity Train, Aka the Train to Nowhere, The Wormhole Judgment Line or Keep Moving Forwards, regarding forces at play aboard the train.
Simon, the brief leader of the Apex, pathological liar and fully fledged lunatic, also the only person who reportedly elevated his number to Infinity. While Simon's tendancy towards fear mongering and violence could place him close to the Desolation or Slaughter, it's impossible to deny that Simon's true alignment would be to the Spiral.
The Flecks, selflessly self-righteous, are the law enforcement agency of the Mirror world. The Flecks aren't hard to place, given their lack of self identification. The Flecks belong to the Stranger, although it's entirely possible that once a Fleck gains a sense of self, he may chose to align himself with the Hunt.
And finally, The Conductor; One/One-One. One is the embodiment of the train itself, and so the only place a robotic, manipulative mathematician with a pension for abduction and forced introspection and obvious control issues can possibly belong, is the Web. Mathematics, Coding, Tapes, Numbers... all very much the domain of the Weavers.
Statement ends.
TIME TO RISE UP AND FINISH INFINITY TRAIN INSTEAD OF SLIVERS!!!

Kids don't use ink when you're tired....you WILL cry.
Anyways this is one of my favorite scenes in infinity train. So I just had to draw this.
I, personally, can not wait for the mirror husbands to finally escape their mirror identities too, and go live together in a lake house, where hat husband fishes and no-hat husband periodically puts down his book to give hat husband a kiss on the cheek,,,,,,, they're just so soft
