For some time now, I have been an adherent lover of the new android phones that are breaking the market such as Tecno and Infinix. Reason being; they give the same as high-end phones in terms of performance and battery life at a lower cost.
Just last week, the Infinix Note 2 was introduced to the Kenyan market.
The Note 2 builds on the success of its predecessor almost entirely without going back on anything while still remaining progressive.
The phone boasts a 6-inch screen that from afar makes it have a bigger large bright display.
Many of my friends who saw it were wowed by the design of the phone.
There’s so much one can do with a 6-inch high definition display that packs more with a 1080 x 1280 pixels resolution for a more brilliant view. One can only limit themselves in this.
Though bulky, I find it to be good as you can actually feel the large device in your pocket and most of all feel that you have something in your hand.
With the large size, the Note 2’s design is specific and carefully positioned so as to avoid strain in trying to find some of the key features.
The power button, for instance, is placed on the left side of the device and textured to make it more distinguishable.
One of the key features that made me love this phone is its battery capacity. The Note 2 boasts of a capacity of 4040mAh.
I was able to use the phone for eight hours in doing some heavy gaming and web browsing using mobile data.
For those who use their phones regularly, you are guaranteed with a two-day battery life. For those who don’t necessarily use their phones regularly, you are sure to go for three days on just but a single charge.
Once the phone gets a too low battery, you can activate the ultra power mode to buy some more hours.
For instance, I accumulated two hours and 45 minutes talking on the phone while it was at eight per cent. This feature is good for those who travel a lot as you are sure to be available even while still on the road and on low battery.

For the camera lovers, the phone comes with a 13-megapixel back camera and front camera of two megapixels. Considering it is a low budget phone, the specs are actually quite good.
It has 16 GB onboard storage, a twin sim and the micro-sd card slots.
The top of the front side of the device has a proximity sensor, the front-facing camera, an LED notification and earpiece in that order.
The outer speakers are good for both calls and music or rather for watching videos on the large display screen.
