I think that's probably true. I'm really struck by the ecological differences? It makes sense, but. I haven't been home in five months, right, and as we were driving home from the airport I was just?? I had a French exchange student at one point, and she kept remarking on how many trees there were and how green it was, and I agreed with her but I did NOT UNDERSTAND.

It is so green. There are so many trees. And hills and it's all around you, right, where in Chicago at least half of your world is sky. And that's nice, right? But it's So Different, and it's So Pretty here?? Like. I'm honestly amazed. I knew that it was pretty, but I didn't really understand until today.

I could do without the cicadas, but I will take them for the rest of it.
