What do you think the major differences are between infp and infj? I've been typed as both and I honestly have no idea which one I am- I relate a lot and differ some from both of them. Also do you think it's possible to change types as you get older? I was a really emotional and kind of naive type kid so I feel like as a kid I was an obvious infp. But now I'm a lot more rational and honestly not emotional at all? So maybe it's possible I grew from an infp to an infj? Bruh I don't even know.

I’m an INFP and my sister is an INFJ. We are so so so alike, but at the same time, we can be very different. And it happens to be that I am more rational than my sister, and always have been. In fact, my childhood differs greatly from yours. I was very quiet and aloof, and my sister was the opposite (still is). So don’t think you have to be strictly how the types are pictured because it’s not about that. Have you checked out the cognitive functions? That really helps. 

An INFJ’s cognitive functions are Ni, Fe, Ti and Se. An INFP’s are Fi, Ne, Si, and Te. So we don’t share any (only if you consider shadow functions, but we won’t get into that). Still, we’re pretty alike because we’re both intuitive feelers, so we’re highly idealistic. But it’s the way we do things (and think) where we differ.
