Hi there anon! Thank you so much for your question and for paying attention to my request-status! Actually you seemed to have send in your ask moments before I opened up my request box again (under the conditions that the requester is aware it can take months, is respectful of me and my rules) . To answer you question, I tend to close it whenever I either feel overwhelmed with the number of requests OR when requests take on an entitled tone. " I want this.." " Do this.." " Fuel/cure/satisfy me with this" " Write this for me.." or straight up prompt with no greetings, appreciations or thank you's irk me. I understand that sometimes its a language barrier, other times its pure excitement that a writer you like actually does requests because a lot of us straight up ignore them. Trust me I know the feeling, BUT being polite takes very little energy. Especially when I'm doing a service to you that many other writers would take payment for. So when appreciation stops I tend to shut all 'extra special' services down. In those cases you guys get whatever I feel like writing IF I feel like writing.
And when the annoyance, entitlement and negativity stops, and are replaced with good questions, politeness and engagement, then I open the box back up again. After all i love requests, they challenge me and make me think of news ways to write and express things. And I love a blog full of engagement with my followers <3
