Mikage had no idea where the drink came from, but whatever it was didn’t matter; it was in the fridge, and she was thirsty. Swigging down the swill, presumably left in there by her oldest brother Eiichirou, the world suddenly began to spin around her. Soon, all faded into darkness.
Instead of the 25 year old woman standing in the light of her refrigerator, a strikingly similar young girl, appearing around 10, rose up from the floor and looked about. This was her home, surely, but the ki she donned was far too big for her.
“Mom?” she called out, attributing the karate robe perhaps to her mother, on whom it would likely fit. With no answer to be had, the girl closed the fridge and ran up to her room. Shockingly, none of her clothes seemed to fit! She searched high and low.
“Eijirou, this isn’t funny!” young Mikage pouted. Eventually, she conceded to going out and buying a few new clothes. Wrapping the big ki around her and finding a pair of shorts with a belt loop, the girl looked a bit ridiculous. She grabbed some money she found while looking around the dojo for her stuff. With that, she ran off into the street.
Her mind on her mission, she ran through the crowds of Ikebukuro, hardly paying attention to where she was. Something stopped her abruptly; a force moving quite opposite to her. She fell backwards and sat on the ground a moment before realizing what happened. Without skipping a beat, Mikage got back to her feet and bowed rapidly, apologizing to the person she ran quite literally into.
“Sorry! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean it, and I should have payed more attention, so I’m so-”
Mid-apology, she looked up to see person she struck. Her eyes widened. The man she ran into was unlike any she had seen in her life, as far as she could remember, but she couldn’t fathom why.
More nervously, she stuttered, blushing, and looked away, “S-s-sorry…r-really…”
