I'm not sure if this is asked before but the part in Strive's story prior to waking Nagoriyuki up, when Happy Chaos snapped his fingers to create that huge explosion. Was that explosion an Information Flare or...just a regular explosion caused by magic? The fact that he can just do it so easily isn't something that anyone can just do in Guilty Gear, at least to me.

If it was a straight-up Information Flare, Zappa's Zappa Scale would've picked it up and detected it. That's how advanced the Zappa Scale system is, more or less.

Nope. Unlike the Universal Will, Happy Chaos wasn't exactly TRYING to destroy humanity all at once.

More than likely Happy Chaos also knew that Axl Low would save everyone in the building as well, since he basically warned Axl Low ahead of time when Axl "sensed him".

It's almost as if Happy Chaos just wanted to blow up a building just for the heck of it (since he could just as well have used Teleport Magic to warp Nagoriyuki out from the seal).

Interestingly enough, Zappa "detected" the very moment when I-No cast her "world affecting Magic" (and became a giant illusion of herself).

It's more than likely that Chaos just wanted the "drama" to entertain himself with.

What are your thoughts on the theory that Frederick could still have access to Dragon Install because of his connection with the Flame of Corruption? Since it's been a part of his Gear core for centuries and his cells are technically byproducts of the Divine Seed, some believe that he is still linked to it, even with it removed from his body. Do you think that this theory has any credibility?

It's difficult to say for certain…

As far as can be determined, Frederick's entire body was reconstructed in the "aftermath" of his initial "death".

Yes, technically Frederick died from getting shot in the neck.

But, he woke up in a pool of his OWN BLOOD not long after.

The bullet that entered his neck contained a cocktail not only of the Flame of Corruption "divine seed", but also a genetic "remapping code" that basically converted his entire BODY in to GEAR CELLS.

So even if the Flame seed was removed from his neck… his body is still 100% that of a GEAR.

On the outside he definitely LOOKS human, and his hair even got shorter to normal length (though that could also have been a temporary side effect… Ky, Sin, and Dizzy still have issues where their hair regrows at fast rates).

What makes the Flame of Corruption Seed what it is seems to be related to the key functions of the Backyard itself.

As per the analogy, the Flame is "Adam" and the Scales is "Eve"… bodies of information that somehow governed the Backyard's data on a large scale.

Just as the Absolute World is an "overlap" of the physical world and the data that comprises the Backyard… you could argue that such an "overlap" existed within Sol's body.

Just as demons and ghosts exist outside of human Logic, Sol's existence was a supernatural one on a basic level.

If left unchecked, the Dragon Install would have encroached Sol's body… distorting his body's data and creating something far beyond his body's ability to contain (even for Gear Cells, which were designed to contain that power in the first place).

Perhaps, right now, none of that absurd amounts of illogical information exists within Frederick's body at the moment… but it is true that it shaped and influenced that body on a physical level… if not a metaphysical level.

Hypothetically, if Frederick were to try to re-enter the Backyard in his current state… or even get influenced by an Information Flare… something "could" happen to him… but it's hard to predict what could happen.

To clarify though, just as Information Flares are an excess amount of Magic Information in real space… the Dragon Install is just like other complex "spells" that exist in the world… above all else, it tapped in to the energy of the Gear Cell Core and Divine Seed itself.

Just as other everyday spells can influence the physical body (like healing spells or elemental spells), so too can enhancement spells like Dragon Install exist.

Perhaps not on the same level as before, but Frederick's body can still tap in to the energy potential of the Gear Cells that currently comprise it.

Even if the Magic Energy isn't as big as a Galaxy Cluster (like the case of Justice)… it is still Magic Energy, and is capable of a great many things.

I don't know if I missed something in XRD or somewhere in Strive. Did Bedman's 'death' have anything to do with the fact that Delilah can be awake in the real world without suffering ill effects of her powers? I remembered that Bedman's body would overheat if he was awake unless their powers are similar but work differently. It is kind of surprising that she can operate without a Bedframe of her own.

Here's the thing about that… we saw Bedman's body crumble away… though whether or not that was HIM "actually dying" is still unclear at this point.

Bedman was able to speak and function temporarily upon "waking up" after Venom's attack, so he probably could do the bare minimum of actions (like talking to someone).

What caused him to crumble away was his use of the Absolute World Field he created to fight Ariels… now, whether or not that killed him is still unclear, especially since we know his will still inhabited the Bedframe for a time after he disappeared.

Bedman explained to Axl Low that Delilah was in a Dreamscape for her own safety, but it was never established that her powers far exceeded his own until recently.

It is likely that Delilah's curse is the same (or similar to) Bedman's because of her powers, but she can probably last a bit longer in this world "awake" than Bedman can without needing to sleep (or enter her own Dreamscape).

It's also shown in cutscenes with Baiken that Delilah sleeps with her "eyes open", so she does not sleep in a normal way and probably does this in order to maintain her concentration/manipulation of information.

While existing in "this world" probably still puts a great strain on hers (and her brother's) minds, they are probably able to manage a certain amount if they "release" or "disperse" some of the information (knowledge/memories) they retain in the day to day process of being awake.

Much like how Ramlethal dispersed Information in the Absolute Sphere after absorbing it, it's possible for Delilah to at the very minimum disperse her power a bit (even just a little) when she is calm and collected.

In other words, the power they share (the curse itself) might be partly determined by how connected to the Backyard they are, and how much of that information enters and is processed by their minds while they sleep or while they are awake.

Just as humans feel exhaustion from lack of sleep, these siblings probably STILL have a lower capacity for staying awake for long periods given how much information they have to process… but with proper management of that information flow, they can probably (even for short periods) still maintain a temporary semblance of normalcy in the real world.

Simply put, they just need more sleep than the average person to compensate their powers.

Wait I wanted to make sure of something about Delilah's Information Flare and power in the recent story. Was it a regular flare or was it an Absolute World field?

If it was a normal Information Flare, the entire Village below Delilah and Delilah herself would've been crushed to dust by the density of the information.

As such, this was a temporary "isolated space" that resulted instead of a small-scale teleportation.

The epicenter of the Teleportation Spell would have shifted Delilah's person to a certain location, but where that location would be isn't entirely stable or known… however the outer "isolated space" was caught in that information, basically trapping the village and people inside the space.

But because that was only a temporary state, as soon as Delilah were to teleport, the space between this world and the Backyard would have shifted locations and positions… effectively sending anything that wasn't Delilah in to the Backyard and destroying it.

What we know so far about smaller-scale Teleportation is that the bigger the distance, the more time it takes for a spell to be initialized. And so far, only Bedman and Izuna can cast long-range teleportation spells successfully (Axl Low might also be capable of them, but he currently doesn't know the precise method how. Even I-No's abilities far exceed any normal "spell logic" that is currently understood.)

However, Delilah messed up her Theory (casting attempt) and it caught the entire village inside the slowly-collapsing dense space.

When Sol last entered Bedman's Nightmare Theatre Space, he stated that it was "similar, yet different" from that of the Backyard… he could still feel the pressure to a minor extent, but it was stable enough to exist inside.

Asuka R. Kreutz also used a similar method to meet with Axl Low as well… Axl even said he could feel the "pressure" as well (though I-No told him to try and ignore it).

Anyway, the reason we can say it is very similar to the Absolute World is because of the "overlap" that was created.

There was enough dense information in the space to crush the average person (even Ramlethal was being affected by it, though Baiken willfully chose to ignore it as best as she could)… the only person who WASN'T influenced by the density of the space was Delilah herself!

Now, either that is because Delilah's spell created a "safe exception" for Delilah as the "center" of the spell… or it is because the "space" was still "stable enough" (at the time) for her to exist inside it.

Ramlethal was preparing herself to "protect" Delilah during the Teleportation process, since it wasn't clear where the spell would send either of them if it wasn't successfully stopped. Ram would most likely have to (in the worst case scenario) create a "barrier" around Delilah that would at least protect her from the Backyard's information until they could find a way back in to normal space.

Fortunately, Baiken was able to prove Sin and Faust's Theory and calm Delilah down, and thus cancel out the remainder of the spell, while Ramlethal absorbed and dispersed the rest of the information.

Was Ramlethal certain she'll be able to survive that amount of information she was absorbing? This is probably nothing but what stood out to me was when Sin was nearby, Ramlethal exchanged a brief glance at him and looked a little hesitant before she kept going with the absorption.

She probably still harbored concerns as to whether or not she could successfully undo the Teleport Spell.

Even if she absorbed most of the information, there was no guarantee that she and Delilah would teleport to the "White House" as planned.

That's also why she said that she would keep Delilah safe if the teleport was triggered, even at the cost of her life (which she didn't want to mention).

That's partly why Baiken stepped in, since it was established by Faust that Delilah's mental state was the core of all this dense information.

Baiken calmed Delilah down while Ramlethal absorbed and dispersed the rest of the Magic information… this basically cancelled everything out to a point that nothing happened.

And, most importantly, nobody got seriously hurt.

Ok pretty much Chaos gave us insight on vampires or demihumans. He said that they can act as terminals to other worlds, so basically, it is possible for Nagoriyuki to travel to another universe in Guilty Gear or could he intend on using Nagoriyuki again to bring him (Chaos) back into the reality? And could Chaos probably know about Slayer's existence?

Okay, you remember what happened during the Baptisma 13 Incident, right?

GG2 Overture events.

Valentine was "sublimating" (dismantling/killing) Gears in order to Open a Gateway to the Backyard.

That was (to her knowledge at least) the only way to enter the Backyard.

There's only so many ways to enter the Backyard:

1. Gateways from Gears (which could kill the Gear)

2. Pure Fluke (which has a low percentage of happening, like the woman in Izuna's origin story)

3. The Tome of Origin (which only recognizes Asuka R. Kreutz as the owner at the moment, not to mention is merged with him).

4. Spatial Displacement (swapping this world's space with the Backyards, like what the Cradle did over Babylon, which basically killed the entire population of Babylon in the process, not to mention created an Information Flare).

5. The Absolute World (which would kill all life as we know it)

The Tome of Origin is really the only "safe way" to Enter and control functions in the Backyard, and really that's the only way Asuka was able to create isolated spaces within that place.

Bedman "deleted his existence" without killing himself, which is (partly) how he created his Dream World (Nightmare Theater) which protects him from the Backyard's density itself, much like Asuka's "Isolated Space" (The Cube). Really it's a bubble that keeps whoever's inside it from being crushed by that information.

The Cradle is basically channeling the power of Justice "connected" to the Backyard's Magic energy output, which is why an Information Flare could be generated. Information Flares are basically "really BIG balls of Magic" that are so dense that they create a "hole" in this universe in to the Backyard. By swapping one Information Flare in the Backyard with another "space of information" in the Outside world... that's how the Cradle was able to teleport... but it killed a lot of people in the process.

BASED ON ALL OF THIS INFORMATION... it is NOT a "safe" or "easy" process for anyone to access a "terminal" to another Dimension/World.

Most likely, you'd have to kill a Demihuman (Youkai) to even get anywhere... if not otherwise "nearly kill" a Demihuman in the process (if Dr. Paradigm nearly killed himself just to get a "peek" at the Backyard, then Nagoriyuki probably wouldn't have much luck either).

The only people who would really have that kind of power are Izuna and Axl Low, and their Magic is unique, but has its own risks too.

If there does "exist" an item or object that could "create" a terminal in a "safe" manner, it either doesn't exist, or hasn't been discovered. So even something like the Tome of Origin has its own rules, and how it was created is still not quite clear in the first place... if something "like" the Tome of Origin existed for other worlds, no humans at the very least have knowledge of it.

SLAYER.... on the other hand, is an "exception".

He claimed to come from the Makai world, and while our first conjecture is that the Makai was a "layer" of the Backyard... it could in fact be another Dimension altogether, if what we know so far is true.

While Slayer said he planned on "retiring" to that world, he never actually said 'how' he would do such a thing... or if going back there was even possible for him (other than Zappa's joke ending).

Based on Slayer's conversations with Zato post-resurrection, however... it seems that the Underworld (where Zato's soul went when he died) does appear to exist... at the very least (though it may be similar to Izuna's Yomotsuhirasaka).

However, Izuna is still considered a Backyard Resident, and not a resident of any other Dimension.

If Slayer does have a "safe method" for entering the Makai (his home world), then it would make sense for other "safe methods" to also exist... but I don't think such knowledge would be easy to gain, for varying reasons.

Vampires keep a lot of secrets for their own protection, that much is a given.

Even the fact that Nagoriyuki's sword could be "harmful" to Gear Cells was a deep secret as well. How Happy Chaos got that knowledge is either a lucky guess, or he must've known something fundamental about the Flame of Corruption, otherwise.

Regardless, there's still not enough information to say how crossing over in to other Dimensions would work, let alone if the process would be a safe one.

Me and a friend of mine have been discussing something about Forbidden Beasts and 'ghosts'. They wondered what would happen if a Gear or Valentine could obtain a Forbidden Beast or be possessed by a ghost like S-Ko. Would their Gear cells or body structure reject them?

Really, it depends on the kind of Gear and on the level of power the phenomena is using in the first place, not to mention compatibility.

If you were to base all supernatural phenomena on the "Universal Will" for a major example, then nothing would be safe... not even Justice was safe, as her mind was made unstable, along with her genetic structure being copied on to the Japanese population.

Since Valentines are closer to human than Gear anyway, they would be more likely be influenced by things like Information Flares and Supernatural Phenomena, just as humans are.

It's also possible for Elphelt and Ramlethal to be influenced by such things, but a more advanced Valentine like Jack-O' or Happy Chaos might be another story.

Since "ghosts" are supernatural entities influenced by things like Information Flares, and Information Flares themselves are (to some extent) a manifestation of Magic... then you could say that Gears and Valentines are (again, to some extent) able to influence and be influenced by said information and data.

Servant-Familiars and other summoned beings are very similar to ghosts in nature, so for beings that can influence Magic on a large scale, rather than become "possessed" by a Ghost... they could simply dominate and control said supernatural beings.

Now, really, it depends on the circumstances between a physical body and a supernatural one and their interactions.

Now, in terms of Forbidden Beast Parasites... most were created based on Gear Technology in the first place... but at the same time, many weren't constructed to have any influence over Gears at all.

A good set of examples of this is Eddie's many attempts to obtain a body prior to his death:

1. He tried to merge with Faust but was rejected (Faust is "considered" Human, but an advanced case of one.)

2. Eddie tried to merge with Sharon (an immortal) and was also rejected.

3. Lastly, Eddie tried to merge with a Justice-Copy and later Testament, both ending in Failure.

Testament stated that even if Eddie was able to take over Testament's body, he'd have no ways to control it.

Likely this is the exact same issue that Chronus had when he tried to merge his consciousness with Justice as well later on during Xrd's events.

The issue lies with the "Soul Imprint" that was used as the base for the Gear's Core.

Just like you can't just make a random key and have it fit in any door lock (even if it's built to be a master key), you can't use just any soul to take over or replace the original soul involved with the Gear body.

As Raven once said, it's very difficult to make an exact replica of a Gears' predecessor Soul.

Even in the case of the Valentine Series, they were meant to merge and be compatible with Justice... but not all were entirely compatible.  Jack-O' had the highest compatibility because she was a replica based on Aria's Soul just like Justice' original soul was.

The same is likely true (to an extent) with Happy Chaos... but in the case of Happy Chaos, her memories and emotions and mental capacity are unstable.  So it's a hit or miss prospect.

Now, while I did state earlier that a powerful being like the Universal Will could probably dominate a Gear... the prospect of that working out successfully without causing damage to the Gear is probably pretty low.

That wouldn't necessarily be physical damage... but psychic and mental damage, affecting memories, motor functions, among other random and unknown effects.

Most likely that's the very reason the Universal Will created the Valentines in the first place: something that "is" somewhat compatible with certain specific Gears.

While that compatibility is not guaranteed... the more compatibility there is, the higher likely they would be successful in merging with a Gear like Justice (or other Gears, if you want other examples).

You know how long it takes for a Antimatter Gear to explode?

Based on Bedman’s brief exchange with one:

20 seconds for full mutation (the Japanese victim was buried underground apparently so as to cause an earthquake during the transformation).

And an additional 30 seconds to compress in to a dense Anti-matter core and finally release all its energy in to a massive explosion (which Bedman easily teleported away from).

Either way, that’s not a lot of time.

You could technically say that an Antimatter Gear “lives longer” so long as it doesn’t impact with anything physical or “get bumped”, but that’s only a matter of time… as even if it tries to attack anything and hit the ground or air around it, that could still trigger the blast.

Even the fact Slayer and Gabriel punched them several times in to the air so as to get them to detonate safely in the sky instead of on the ground was taking a huge risk as the explosion still damages spatial infrastructure of this world further risking the Absolute World and transforming it in to the Backyard space.
