Local radio stations on info screen by Citynomadi The National Audiovisual Institute of Finland has a radio and tv archive to record the most important Finnish on air stream as a whole and some samples of over 100 channel.
You are welcome to listen to radio channels and watch tv shows in the Audiovisual Institute.
The exhibition of ON THE SAME FREQUENCY - RADIO AND TELEVISION AS TIME GOES BY opened today until March 31 2017.
In the exhibition you'll get introduced to old fashioned radio and tv receivers to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Finnish broadcast company YLE.
The local radio stations are put on the Citynomadi's map on a touchscreen of 46” info screen. The local radio stations open up by touching the map, and you are able to listen to the samples and read about the anecdotes of the early years. Believe me, the stories are wild!

Infoscreen! Zukunft!
Immer, wenn ich vor so einem Infoscreen* im Bahnhof oder in der U-Bahn-Station stehe, erinnert mich das an “Total Recall” (das Original, nicht das Remake) und ich denke: “Zukunft!”
Dabei gibt es die Dinger schon ewig und sie waren auch noch nie besonders abgefahren.
* Für die Nachwelt: Mit Infoscreens meine ich diese Bildschirme, auf denen irgendwelche Kurznachrichten, Mini-Zeichentrickfilme, Ratespielchen usw. angezeigt werden, damit man beim Warten was zu gucken hat.
