I'm so nostalgic, like I can watch the Power Rangers or Digimon and that's makes me very happy even though I'm 22. All I do is jump in a pool of memories and swim all day, all time. Is it an INFP thing? Or a sign of an unhealthy one?
Hello Fellow INFP,
Pshhh I’m nostalgic as HECK! I don’t know if this is an INFP thing, though I am willing to take a gamble that it kinda is. We can be so sentimental. I mean I still have stuff from when I was in kindergarten that stuck with me and I’m over 22 for sure!! It’s crazy. I’ll watch old shows from my childhood, I mean I’m a 90s kid and I bought a box set of ‘Hey Arnold’ dang that show was good. Don’t even get me started on Pokemon OMG!!!Actually Owl City released a song called “Unbelievable” (Link HERE) and to be honest with you, I cried the first time I heard it because it brought back a flood of memories from my childhood, but it was in happiness. This nostalgia we have can be a two edge sword, it makes us feel so amazing an realize what a good time, or period of life it was that the memories came from, but it can also make us miss what we used to have or a simpler time that we miss.On another side it can bring back bad memories too. It is just human nature I think. So it’s pretty normal I’d say and as long as it is not inhibiting your regular life and functions day by day I can’t say as it is bad. Sometimes we have to have something that fuels us because let’s face it, the world isn’t exactly warm and fuzzy and sometimes we have to crate our own sunshine ya know?
I hope that is helpful! Please comment fellow INFPs and message me if you please.
