💫💫💫 [I HOPE YOU GET SMTH ANGSTY :EYES:]
The Light by Disturbed“ —An unforgivable tragedy / The answer isn’t’ where you think you’d find it — ” & “You need never feel broken again / Sometimes darkness can show you the light ”
He wonders if they know.
Do they know they hold his heart in their hands, and though he may not be fragile, his heart is very much so. He knows he is a little broken, and a little strange, but if he can be selfish and ask them all to hold a single fragment, he thinks he can be one whole piece.
Do they know how he once lived?
Full of anger, guilt, and hatred - it was barely living. He had looked for answers in his powers, in the blinding flames of Endeavor, and even in the starlit sky above his home, and specks of light trickling in the distance from the city. No matter where he asked, the answer had always been loudly silent, just a boy yelling into some obscure darkness until he no longer felt anything. Endeavor built a flame in his soul to destroy him, and it caught like wild fire until he didn't know if it was his, or his father's hands clawing towards first place. Though the fire raged around him he only sunk deeper in the darkness, looking for something he never had to begin with.
Do they know they are the only friends he has - ? Has ever had?
When they laugh and smile, there's a jitter in his soul ; happiness, he recognizes. Though he never knew much about smiling, he might be an expert before the year ends. He likes their jokes, and their fights, and the colors in their eyes. He likes the differences, the acceptance, and silly antics even if he watches, lost more often than not.
Do they know he would die for them?
It's only fair for the boy to give back the life they gifted to him. He never thought he'd find his answers in a group of odd teenagers, but he'd gladly trudge the shadows in his life again to reach their blinding light. There's a long way to go before the dark spots of his mind cease nipping at his heels, but any stumble is often fixed by a helping hand.
They may not know, but he knows he is no longer alone.
