Imperfect Portraits of Male Dancers
New York City-based photographer Nir Arieli began his career working for the Israeli magazine Bamachane as a military photographer. Later he received a scholarship and received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Arieli’s newest project, “Inframen,” features male dancers like his previous projects, “Tension” and “Force,” however these portraits are black-and-white, and photographed with a special infrared technique to reveal “flaws” in the subject’s skin.
