Hey I have been meaning to ask, what is a Hulder?

Also, Holtii mentioned he was an Ulda, what's that?

Also also, I brought some chicken for him. Holds up a tupperware full of chicken.

Holtti's ears twitched and perked up at the mention of the chicken as he scampered over to Mike with a wide grin.

Hello again Mike. That is a good question. And one I hope I can provide a good enough answer for as it is not always easy to explain.

They seemed to take a moment to think over words, watching as Holtti invaded Mike's space to grab at the tupperware of chicken like the feral gremlin he is.

I will give a somewhat quick run down for the sake of time.

Huldrefolk, Huldrefolket in Norwegian, or Hulder (Plural) is somewhat of an umbrella term for the forest spirits and peoples who live in what I call the underground. A mirror world hidden away from humans, and we are typically found in the Nordic regions of Europe.

Hulder (singular), or Huldra as is more commonly spoken, are a specific people. We are generally female and considered beautiful to the human eye. We have several identifying traits, however I do not feel comfortable to identify them for you.

Our male counterparts, Huldrekall, sometimes called 'tusse', are not blessed with our beauty and do not tend to venture to the seeing world as humanity shuns and treats them poorly.

We are the common folk in Norway.

In Sweden you will find Skogsrå or Tallemaja, who are forest spirits who appear similarly beautiful to us Huldra, though differences vary in appearance. They are often smaller than us in stature and have similar but different identifying traits.

Reeholtti, is from Finland. Where several different Hulderfolk can be found. He identifies as an Ulda. Ulda are much more mischievous and rambunctious than the Norwegian and Swedish Hulders... They are also sh-

OOC: Mun would like to say right off the bat that I am not from any Nordic country and I simply have a hyperfixation on huldrefolk... I am taking some creative freedoms on my interpretations of the folklore for each type of hulder.

HOWEVER. I am more than happy to hear from people who are more familiar with the folklore, both so I can have better interpretations, but also because I love reading about the folklore in general.

Also, I would like to let you know that today's special is a poulet aux quarante gousses d'ail, which is just a very fancy way to say "chicken with a shitload of garlic."

OH FUCK YEAH FOOD! Nah, we can eat pretty much anythiing a human can. II don't have any diiet stuff goiing on personally. But that sounds absolutely DELIICIIOUS my guy. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
