A guest at Winterfell
Shireen pattered about the halls of Winterfell, making as much impact upon its stone as a mouse skittering over it would. Selyse was asleep, as the child knew she should be too, but she didn’t dare try, not yet. She wasn’t so tired as to want to succumb to the nightmares she knew were waiting for her...
She would have to, at some point. But not yet, not yet.
Perhaps, the maesters could give her a sleeping drug of some sort... That might be the best course of action.
Besides, she had word through the whisperings of soldiers that someone was coming; likely, she reasoned, to see Jon Snow now the man was back in his home. The curiosity was enough to keep the exhaustion at bay a little longer, and she waited patiently to hear of the arrival of the stronghold’s new guest.
With luck, it would be good news.
The princess certainly hoped so!
